If you want accommodation reflecting Tucson's history, this casita is definitely worth considering. Tucked into one of the city's remaining barrios, it is in a district of color and character that could be easily missed by itinerant travelers. The casita itself is compact, but includes standard facilities and is a nice change from generic hotel rooms. By car the city center is quickly reached, and the surrounding streets with their distinctive homes is good walking territory (aim for cooler mornings in summer though).

A peaceful refuge in an older neighborhood that delivers a taste of Tucson's traditional barrio culture. Once you've got your bearings, food and beverages are only a short walk away. Not much further afield is the city center. Messages to the hosts requesting information about the area were promptly answered.
It's not a complaint, but you may need Google to find the property. The narrow streets form a bit of a maze - but that's part of their charm.
