Spacious with excellent location close to Wythenshawe Park and tram stop

There were a few things broken on arrival. Looks like previous guests hadn't treated the flat well.

Spacious modern apartment. Well equipped. Allocated parking. Convenience shops close by. Perfect for me who was using as a base to visit someone in hospital and wanted more than a hotel

There was a funny smell on landing (like a dead body) thankfully could not smell inside apartment… Tried to contact host prior to stay as said about reserving parking, and whilst I was there I’d put wrong code on door too many times so it temporarily blocked me trying again But no response either time, went straight to voicemail and no response to message.

The apartment is in a newly built block so it is clean and fully equipped (see the property's facilities listed in it's Booking.com entry). The location of the apartment was perfect for the event at Wythenshawe Park I was attending. It is a little way out of the centre of Manchester but there were frequent buses for those types of journeys, in fact one route goes past the apartment with a stop right outside. There is also a tram stop about 10min walk away; Transport for Greater Manchester's journey planner and mobile app allowed me to leave my car at the apartment and take the bus, got full use of my Hampshire County Council Old Person's bus pass (though that didn't cover tram fares). There are 2 local convenience stores which stock most things and a number of takeaways to save cooking; but if I wanted to (and I worked out how to operate the induction hob), the apartment had pans.

The blinds on the bedroom window didn't cut out all light; at night the street light outside the apartment block shone through and in the morning the sun seemed a bit bright when waking. A slight quibble, I didn't see any operating instructions for the induction hob, good job there were several takeaways a step or 2 away.

it was convenient, easy to access and a good size. the host was easy to contact and although i had a slight issue in finding the place, it was easily sorted out when I contacted the host. it was good enough for my purpose/needs.

the bed was really hard and uncomfortable. although the accommodation was reasonably clean, there were a few overlooked areas which weren't up to standard - the roof and back of the microwave had old, dried food on it and the part of the drawer under the sink which you had to lean against to use the sink had, what looks like, splashes/toothpaste drops from previous users, there were grease marks left on the remote and mats on the dining table. Other than those few issues, the neighbours and room above was quite noisy both nights - although I think that is less something that the management can control.
