Clapham Common Delight

The property is fabulous. Very spacious. Lots of appliances. The sitting room and window onto the common is lovely.

The beds were not huge. The shower was a bit difficult, very small nozzle that sprays the whole bathroom with the pressure. The location in theory is great but I found it hard to sleep for the stay because it’s so busy for nights out and people are screaming outside for the whole night

We loved the convenience to the tube station, the local coffee ☕️ shops, the supermarkets 👌. This was fabulous. Over looking Clapham common was gorgeous in summer and there were plenty of restaurants close by. Infact this Airbnb is over one. So for those wanting an early night, this might not be your best choice. But for late night owls it's great. Bathrooms are both quite new and very nice aesthetics. The shower ensuite was fabulous and we all used this although it was very small. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and in the hard side which I like. I often suffer lower back pain, but not with this bed. A great area to be in, with lots going on. It was just hot 🔥 for us.

It was quite hot for London, late 20s. And whilst 1 bedroom had a good fan, the other one didn't. And it was hot duringthe night!! We opened windows and bugs flew into the apartment so this wasn't going to work. I asked for another fan for at least 2 days and we didn't get one. Eventually they offered for us to buy one and refund us, but this was on the last night where we were celebrating her 18th birthday and it wasn't possible for us to go out. Given the changes in temperature in London over the years, I felt that it wasn't difficult to provide a fan for the second bedroom. There was no child water or ice in the fridge on arrival which was disappointing given how hot we all were. It's the small things that really make the difference. Additionally the shower over the bath is very difficult to use as it sprays out with the pressure from the water. If you like a hand shower it's great, but for us it wasn't. Early morning loud noises outside from garbage trucks, late night party goers going home and the odd crackpot screaming at someone. Other than that it was good. Sadly more homelessness around the area with beggers on the street and homeless sleeping on cardboard boxes 😢 Or was very sad to see.
