We liked the oriental style of the property. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were outstanding. They couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and the freshly cooked breakfasts, especially the fresh brown sugar buns, freshly cooked eggs and the lattes. We also enjoyed the opportunity to try some Chinese cakes as part of the afternoon tea.
Nothing.

Lovely cultural hotel in a Hutong. The area was great for exploring.
A bit difficult to find and many taxis won’t stop in the alley where it is located, but probably expected as it is located in a hutong.

Amazing hotel set in an old hutong mansion, transporting you back to the roaring ‘20s. Besides the cool design, the staff makes the place: super helpful, free breakfast, free afternoon tea (with a huge tower of Chinese tea cakes), free airport pickup and most importantly, they all speak English, which is hard to find in Chinese hotels and which makes life a lot easier for us heathens that don’t speak Chinese.

Clean and comfortable.
Location was not attractive.
