The property was clean and spacious. Upon arrival, the water in the pool had a greenish tint, possibly due to algae. I contacted the property manager who had the pool cleaned / serviced at the end of the next day, the second day of my stay. Flooring near the refrigerator was loose but not broken and I noted this in a conversation with the manager. No action taken on this. By the third or fourth day of my stay, I realized that the lock on the sliding patio door (back door of the house) was not working. His maintenance worker came to repair it but after about a day, it was no longer working. A backup pin locking mechanism also failed. I found a piece of wood in the garage to use as a door jamb in place of the lock. It seemed that the owner / manager had not adequately prepared for my stay by inspecting the pool and the security of the house. I don't want to spend my vacation time addressing maintenance issues. It would have been nice to park my car in the garage but it appears that the garage door opener was not working. The lawn and landscape could have used some attention. The neighborhood was pleasant and quiet. Easy access to businesses on Cortez Rd or Manatee Ave. I generally enjoyed my stay.

Great place! Better than advertised and Trysten was wonderful to work with. We had a great time and would definitely like rent this same house again, next time we come to this area.The only thing I’d add is more clocks. One in the bedroom, one in the living room, and one out by the pool would be nice, but other than that… all was excellent!

The location was great as we were just visiting my mother. Her home is under renovation so we always book a VRBO. The house is very updated. Very colorful with different color paint everywhere. Only 2 ceiling fans in the home so I purchased some because the home was warm.Drafty window and doors, old painted cabinets with paint chips missing. Some close some didnt. The pool was nice but could use a good cleaning. The sliding glass door doesnt shut correctly leaving a good size gap for creatures to get in.Bathrooms are way outdated with mauve everywhere in one and the old yellow in the other. Musty smell lingered throughout. I would stay again but NOT for the price I paid.
