About this house rental
TWO HOMES. ONE INCREDIBLE BACKYARD.
Grinning Gecko is designed for families and groups who want to vacation together — without having to live on top of each other.
You'll have a spacious 3-bedroom main house PLUS a separate private pool house with its own queen bedroom, ensuite bathroom and workspace.
That means grandparents can have their own space. Another family can have privacy. Parents can put the kids to bed and still enjoy the evening. Everyone can be together when they want to be — and spread out when they don't.
Then there's the backyard: a heated saltwater pool, oversized lanai, outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, putting green, bocce court, arcade and fire pit.
It's less like renting a house and more like having your own private family resort.

This was one of the best rental homes that we have ever stayed at. It was perfect. Everything was just as described in the listing and it even exceeded our expectations. We loved the outdoor spaces and used the outdoor kitchen to cook out and enjoy meals by the pool. The pool house bathroom was nice so we didn't have wet kids dripping through the house when they have to go to the bathroom. The outdoor shower was great to wash off sand from the beach. The owners of this home provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay including floats for the pools, beach chairs, a cooler, wagon, umbrella, and much much more. There was even a shopvac in the garage that we used to get the sand out of our car. Good location: safe, quiet neighborhood, near shopping and restaurants, and a quick 20 minute drive to the beach. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Bradenton.

This was the perfect rental for our family get-together. The property was clean & had all we needed, even beach items. It is a great rental for adults & especially children. The bedrooms accommodated children so that noises wouldn’t disturb them, especially the pool house bedroom. We’ve rented many properties thru VRBO in Bradenton (mostly condos). This owner was the best at responding to my emails. We would definitely rent again.

The house is truly amazing. It's a great option for a family as it's a little something for everyone to enjoy in the house. With that being said we did come across a few hiccups during our stay. The a/c went was out our first day, which so happened to be the warmest day of our stay. We let the host know that the thermostat didn't have any power at all. We were not offered any fans and no one came out until the next morning to look at it. The heated pool was only heated one day after numerous times of asking about the temperature. Someone who was there for the air finally looked at it. But the next day someone else came back out to clean the pool I believe (honestly not sure the reason he was there) but during that visit the temperature was turned back down. The lights around the patio either didn't work or we couldn't find the switch,we asked twice about that and didn't get a response. This made it hard to enjoy the very nice patio once the sun started to go down. We stayed 4 days and 3 of the 4 days technicians were there due to the A/c. We did not receive anything to rectify all of these inconveniences. We were offered a coupon for ice cream. I must say again how wonderful the house was my family of 11 enjoyed it and there was more than enough space. These issues could have been one offs and things do happen, we just felt the hosts could have addressed our concerns better and with more urgency.
