About this cabin rental
Summary:
Whispering Woods, your home away from home, situated central to all Beech Mountain amenities. Please note: the cabin is older and we are updating it in sections. Enjoy the hot tub, outdoor firepit, kids play loft, serene setting, fireplace, and free coffee. Sleeps 10. Pet-friendly. Near slopes!
The Space:
Private on .82 acres! Easy entry, 4 bedrooms 2 full baths with two large decks and seasonal views. Two-story living room, stone fireplace with gas logs, perfect for cozy evenings. Throw blankets provided to cuddle up next to the fire in your mountain retreat. The refreshed kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to make family or group meals. Free coffee and light snacks provided.
Main level has great room, dining, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and full bath. Generous upstairs kids loft bedroom with plenty to keep the kiddos busy. Lower level has sizable bedroom, couch seating, TV, exterior door, private bathroom and laundry.
Parking for up to 3 cars in driveway and up to one car on the road (but only in front of home and not neighbors). Pet-friendly for $150 pet fee.
Guest Access:
Guests have complete access to home, driveway and large yard.
Other Things to Note:
Just two miles (7 min drive) to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Banner Elk is just down the mountain (15 min drive)
Many destinations are with in a short drive:
Grandfather Mountain
Wineries / Breweries
Linville Caverns
Many hiking trails and outdoor activities
Many restaurants and Fred’s Mercantile General Store all within 2 miles of the cabin
Up to 2 dogs (potentially three with ore-approval). No cats or other animals.
Please note, we have window units for loft and two main floor bedrooms to use for A/C.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean and pleasant. The only feedback that I would give are the pans in the kitchen. The kitchen is stocked well but the pans are not really made for a glasstop stove. They need to be flat on the bottom not rounded so that they will heat up faster. We wanted to use the fireplace on the coldest night but it wouldn't come on. We think that perhaps the propane was empty. But those are just minor things. The house is really lovely and our stay was great.

We arrived pretty late at night so unfortunately wasn’t able to appreciate the scenery. Cabin was great, clean, cozy, and the kitchen well stocked. Having coffee ready to go in the morning was a plus. I would definitely stay there again.

Cute place with lots of thoughtful details. Hosts were great communicators. We had a good time and would rent again.
