Location is great for exploring central Edinburgh. The bed is very comfortable.
The kitchen lacks some basics: only 2 small mugs and a broken corkscrew.

Good location
Nicely decorated although some areas needed touching up
Sofa badly damaged on the side and cushions not comfortable. Cutlery draw stuck up in a cupboard which was difficult to access. Could do with an additional bed side light as there was only one. Also put some form of hanging on wall instead of back of door.

The location was great. Loads of shops and restaurants, and the castle was close by. At my request, due to allergies, they washed all linen in non-fragranced detergent, which was a big help.
Besides the many cleanliness issues (lots of mould in the shower) and very poor construction in the kitchen, comfort was awful (the bed was small, the sofa was hard), and the street noise from over 9 ambulances and 5 fire trucks a day was, in the end, comical. The rest is all personal preferences, which would be unfair to mention.
