Ideally sized and located house for a trip away.

The house had ample room for a group and the beds were comfortable. It is located a short walk into Sunderland central and there was ample parking for over the weekend (there are some restrictions on weekdays).

There were a few creature comforts missing which would have been nice, such as kitchen roll, hand soap. But, all the main facilities were present.

All in all we had a great stay and given the size of our group we had a great time in the house

We were a family of 10 - 6 adults and 4 children (2 toddlers), very spacious and clean and really helpful to have 2 rooms on the ground floor (my sister and her two small children were really pleased). Also there were two doors to the living room limiting access to the stairs for two small children who love to wonder around so from a safety point of view this was good. Given the size of our family we made full use of the amenities. Really happy there were two bathrooms both with showers, one bathroom had a bath. Important to have two bathrooms for a family of this size and made getting ready a lot easier. Laura was a really lovely host and responded immediately to any questions we had. She also made us aware that the coffee machine had broken down, but a new one was on its way and literally arrived the next day - very happy about this. Also she was accommodating to letting us check out an hour later which was helpful given how much we needed to put into our cars

For parking would have been helpful to know the timings in advance, just meant we had to keep parking around the back of the house. The bin situation was a little confusing as the bin men didn’t actually take the rubbish - very particular about what you put in what bins. I would say the beds were not too comfortable - very springy but still had a decent sleep. There were also ants in the kitchen (not loads) which was slightly off putting. Also the neighbours thought we were quite loud one evening, it’s not often we get to spend time with each other so did put a little dampener on one of the nights
