Very good location for value

Very friendly staff, very responsive on WhatsApp if they're not available on location. Location is great for first time in Ubud, very central and close to the shops and restaurants. Good value as it was a base for us, we are usually out exploring in the day

It's an ubud thing but all the services seem to be inflated, you have to bargain for everything. I didn't take the offered car service because it's almost double that of using the app. They don't clean your room during your stay, which I put down to being a homestay but I would have preferred to have known that upfront.

Everything. This is in a perfect location in central Ubud - everything is on your doorstep, bars, restaurants, tours etc. Ran by a lovely family who will do anything to help. We were welcomed with a drink and friendliness. The room itself is clean and spacious. For the price it is amazing. Thank you to all of the lovely staff we will recommended.

Convenient location and excellent hosts!

The property is beautiful and I received a very warm welcome. My room was lovely, with fruit trees just outside, and a little koi pond that provided soothing water sounds. It’s right in the middle of a touristy area (which you could not hear once inside the property and room), so easy access to restaurants, shops, etc, and not a far walk to options for escaping the crowds - Monkey Forest, Campuhan Ridge Walk, rice paddies. Perfect stop for the first couple nights to rest and adjust before moving on. They arranged for a driver to pick me up from the airport (extra charge), which was very much appreciated to not have to plan another travel step after a 36 hour flight :). Oh, and they provide free drinking water for refilling your water bottle - which in my heart should be the defaut, but sadly is not always the case. Highly recommended!!

I would definitely recommend this address to my friends.

It’s located in the very lively center of Ubud, in a street full of restaurants, shops and massage salons but very quiet as it is mostly pedestrian - your taxi can drop you and pick you up at the guesthouse yet. It is an excellent value for money as the room is spacious and clean. The semi-private balcony is nice to take your breakfast or meditate in front of the lovely garden, with the sound of the birds and of the fountain downstairs. And the owner is incredibly helpful, flexible, smiling and prompt to respond when you need anything.

All was good except perhaps the breakfast which is made of a tea or an instant coffee and you have to choose one day in advance 1 of the 3 available choices (including fried eggs, a Balinese pudding and another one). But it’s ok and you can easily complement it outside around the corner if you want to get some fruits, pancakes or açai bowls.

Quiet, Cozy & Perfectly Located

Such a lovely property! 😊 Quiet, peaceful, and nicely tucked away in the heart of central Ubud. The location is perfect — everything you need is just a short walk away (markets, ATM, and even a few tourist spots). 🌿 The staff is super kind and welcoming, and the overall vibe feels very homely. Great for a relaxing stay, plus the nearby area is perfect for early morning walks or jogs. 🏃‍♂️☀️ Definitely worth the money, and I’d love to stay here again on my next visit to Ubud! 💯

"Loved the Experience, but Mind the Bed Orientation"

I loved that the property was centrally located in Ubud—everything was within walking distance. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. When the bathroom light wasn’t working, I messaged them and it was fixed right away. The breakfast was also great. The overall vibe felt like something out of an Uncharted movie—very adventurous and unique.

I didn’t like the bed—it wasn’t very comfortable, and its position was not ideal. A heads-up for Muslim travelers: the bed was oriented in a way that pointed the feet toward Mecca, which is not suitable according to Islamic customs.

A warm & wonderful stay – highly recommended!

Everything was perfect! The host was incredibly friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed. As guests from South Africa, me and my mom truly felt welcomed and at home. It was honestly one of the best stays we've had, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Bali! The location is also amazing — it's central and super close to everything, including the Monkey Sanctuary, delicious Ubud coffee roastery, "This is Bali" for dinner, Dang! Cookies, the market and beautiful spas just around the corner.

Outstanding Balinese Experience

We stayed at Shana Homestay twice during our time in Bali. We booked two rooms on both occasions. Our total three night experience was outstanding. Firstly, the atmosphere of this place is fantastic. Despite being on a very busy street, the serenity and calm once inside the property is remarkable. This is also aided by the property being a traditional Balinese house - beautiful architecture and structure which gives you a real sense of what living in Bali is like. Secondly, the rooms were also super clean, comfortable and very spacious. There was plenty of room to store luggage, walk around and get ample sunlight from the windows. The beds were also very comfortable to sleep on. Finally, the hosts are wonderful. Yoyok and his family were very welcoming and accommodating in all aspects. They always interacted with us with respect and a smile, which goes a long way. Yoyok was instrumental in organising 4 taxis that we booked for prices that were lower than Grab/Gojek. He also helped us get some laundry and ironing done and also made homemade breakfast at 6:30am one day. Not to mention giving us lots of useful information about what to see, how much time to give something and what to expect. Thank you Yoyok and the wider family!

Yoyok es un genio! Muy hospitalario y atento. Se preocupó por que estemos a gusto en el lugar, que tuviéramos todo lo necesario y nos asistió en todo lo que pudo y más. El y su familia fueron muy amables con nosotros, nos abrieron las puertas de su casa para compartirla con nosotros unos días. La ubicación es excelente a pocas cuadras del centro de Ubud.

위치는 우붓시내 여기저기 다니기 좋고. 숙소주변 맛있는 와룽이 많아요. 샤워기에 필터 사용했는데 3일간 변색 없었어요. 냉장고나 포트는 없는데 포트는 요청하면 빌려 주십니다.

제공된 수건은 핸드용수건 2장과 샤워수건 2장인데 너무 낡았고2일차 요청해서 받았는데 3일차에는 요청하니 3일에 한번 교체 해준다면서 안 해 줬어요. 룸청소를 3일간 안 해줘서 쓰레기통 내 주고 비워달라 요청해야했고, 침대청소는 시트교체가 아니고 시트 털어서 정돈 해주기만 합니다. 욕실 배수가 잘 안 됩니다. 침대프레임이 뾰족해서 지나다니다 계속 같은 자리를 부딪혀서 네번째에는 피가 났습니다.

近くに安くて、上手なマッサージ店飲食店、お土産店などありとても便利なところでした大通りではなく、一歩通行なので、車の通りも少なく静かでした家族の方がとてもフレンドリーでいつも声かけてくれました

Hotel familiar muy céntrico en Ubud , tienen un pequeño templo familiar en el establecimiento ( todas las casas lo tienen) no desayunamos en el hostel por lo que no podemos valorar. La habitación correcta, no la hacen. Disponen de dispensador de agua gratuita , tienen parking para motos en el alojamiento, la familia que lo lleva es muy agradable
