Harper by the Sea

Lovely flat in an excellent central location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We liked that it had a back door which led to our private courtyard which was very convenient for the dogs. We particularly liked that the host provided a card for parking so didn’t cost us anything extra. There was plenty of games for us to choose from and was very cosy.

Just a few niggly things. We could not open the bedroom window. I was looking forward to soaking in the bath but realised water was coming out from under the bath as there was a leek where the overflow is. This is needing fixed. The windows could also do with a good clean

Great location it’s a lovely apartment everything you need is there it’s warm and cosy there’s a small courtyard in the back which is private for just you x

Great location, good sized property

Outside area unusable with dogs as gate/ wall not secure. Strange smell and could do with a full clean and a paint! Bed in second bedroom uncomfortable and too small!

Unable to use shower or bath as heating control not working, Water boiling hot and DANGEROUS. Flat appeared not to have been serviced - dirty towels from previous visitors left in bathroom, fridge defrosted, full of water and on floor, no parking permit on table, no access through back as gate still not repaired (for the want of 2 screws!). To describe the flat as having parking was misleading as it is only street parking and Whitby is notoriously difficult to find parking. We would like some recompense for not being able to use the shower or bath, Others had made the same complaint but only written it in the visitor book, We reported these matters on the phone, A reply is required. If no action will report this on Trip Advisor.
