벨라나 바이브에서 우린 3박 4일을 보냈고, 지내는 내내 숙소 오너인 Imma와 Munzir의 친밀한 케어가 돋보였습니다. 마티베리 선착장에서 우릴 만나서, 다시 선착장에서 우리를 배웅하는 순간까지 우리 일정과 요청에 가능한 불편이 없도록 노력해 주었습니다. 한국인으로서는 첫 손님이라 들었는데, 전반적인 숙소 컨디션과 친절한 대응을 보아, 마티베리섬에 온다면 묵을 가치가 있어요.
전반적으로 숙소 시살 모두 새 컨디션이였고, 깔끔합니다. 심지어 우리가 3일 내내 빌렸던 스노클 장비 조차 새 것이였어요. (약간의 대여료가 있긴 합니다. 마스크, 핀, 라이프재킷까지 한 세트로 하루 5달러입니다.)
정원에는 망고나무가 자라며, 저녁 나절에는 과일박쥐가 찾아오곤 해요. 도착해서 체크인 하자마자 Munzir는 나무에 올라 망고를 따주었습니다.
숙소를 통해 우리는 만타 트립과, 선셋 피싱을 했고 이 숙소와 연결된 스태프 들은 정말 최선을 다해 우리는 가이드해주었습니다. 여러차례 몰디브에 왔지만, 액티비티로서는 최고의 경험이였습니다.
비가 올때도 정원에 나올 수 있도록, 그리고 모래가 덜 묻도록, 조금 더 화장실이 쾌적해지도록 계속 숙소를 보완해나가겠다고 합니다. 내년엔 더 좋은 숙소가 되어 있겠죠.
아직 TV가 없는데, 곧 비치할 거라고 합니다!

The easy contact with them before and during the stay by wasap.
Rooms are simple and new. Aircon works very good.
The curtain are for nice not for darkness.
Need some improvements on the decorative garden, I think this place has good possibilities but need a person that take care of decor and details.

This guesthouse meets every need a guest could wish for, making it the perfect place to relax.
The sandy beaches as well as the center of Mathiveri (market, fantastic bakery etc.) are just a short walk from Velana Vibes.
The place is new, clean and well cared for. The design is thoughtful - functional, but also ensuring privacy for guests.
But what makes Velana Vibes truly special... are the people. Munzir, the owner, is the soul of the place and Imma, the manager, is its heart. We have never met such a sincere and genuinely warm team. That includes the friendly owner, the incredibly dedicated manager and the always-helpful kitchen staff. They all put their whole hearts into making our stay special and unforgettable - and they succeeded! They were always there if we had questions. They organized everything - whether it was a golf cart tour of the island, snorkeling, fishing, fish barbecues or filming us on jet ski with a drone - and made our holidays even more enjoyable.
Personally, I would like to give special thanks to Imma for the private snorkeling lesson :-) I can’t swim, but he offered to help me so that I also could see the underwater world - and he kept his promise. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, he took me and my family to a calm beach where we snorkeled together. I will never forget the experience of my very first snorkel, where I felt completely safe the whole time!
At Velana Vibes, we enjoyed the comfort of a good hotel, but among the team, we felt at home - surrounded by people who genuinely wanted the best for us. Everyone made sure our stay in this wonderful place was unique and unforgettable.
Although we usually don’t return to the same place twice, we truly hope to come back to Velana Vibes someday.

Nothing, because everything was perfect, but...
I would like to write more details about this place and our stay:
Velana Vibes is an elegant building, blending beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the bathrooms are clean and the room equipment is comfortable - good quality mattresses and towels (including beach towels), hygiene products, a safe, hairdryer etc. The owner has thought of every detail (even the adapter plugs in the sockets :). Air conditioning, Wi-Fi and fans all worked perfectly. The owner also provides all the equipment you need for snorkeling, free of charge - making days by the ocean even more enjoyable.
From the very start, we felt cared for. The owner and manager met us at the harbor, brought us to the guesthouse and welcomed us with fresh coconut juice.
The breakfast is included in the stay and it’s generous and delicious. They are very flexible with food preferences, so everyone can find something they enjoy (we were traveling with two kids). Drinking water, coffee, and tea are available at all times.
The team offers a variety of activities, tailored to your needs and budget. We first chose the “combi” package - snorkeling with manta rays and then with turtles. The excursion crew was friendly, skilled and attentive. We even received GoPro footage from the trip.
The next day we went fishing. Everyone caught something and some fish were bigger than we expected! In the evening, the team prepared a barbecue with our catch (Imma makes the best fish dishes).
Another highlight was the jet ski ride. The kids had a lot of fun and also received a drone video from the owner, which is a great memory from their vacation :-)
Our last evening was the perfect ending of our trip. The team prepared a true feast (did I mention that Imma makes the best fish? :-) ). We shared stories, laughed and they surprised us with a farewell delicious cake.
Thanks to the Velana Vibes team it was a wunderful holiday!

We had a fantastic 5-night stay at Velana Vibes on Mathiveri. Although our flight delay caused us to miss the last boat, the host Munzir kindly arranged a night in Malé at his own expense and offered to cover taxi costs – a truly generous gesture. On the island, his assistant Imma took great care of us throughout the stay – from preparing delicious breakfasts to organizing our return transfer and even lending umbrellas during rain.
The guesthouse is modern, very clean, and well maintained. Our room was spacious, air-conditioned, with a private bathroom and daily cleaning. There’s a lovely shaded lounge/dining area, free use of a washing machine and a drinking water dispenser – thoughtful extras that made a big difference.
The location is perfect – just a few minutes’ walk to the bikini beach, local shops, and restaurants. When we were briefly stranded on a picnic island due to a storm, Imma quickly arranged a boat to bring us back. The hosts also offered a short buggy tour around the island to introduce key spots. They provide a variety of excursions and activities too.
Overall, Velana Vibes was an excellent choice – friendly hosts, great service, and a peaceful island setting. Thank you Munzir and Imma – we hope to come back!
