Seacoast Retreat

It was clean, roomy, comfortable furniture. Nice outdoor space with chairs. Nice neighborhood. It was good to work with you.

There were several cochroaches, both lovely and dead. There was a space under kitchen door where they could come in. Could see daylight. There are no electrical outlets in either bathroom.. not easy to maneuver.

Washing machine & location

Here is our experience from our stay. For your information, we will also be posting this review on Booking.com and social media. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the house did not look like the photos. The garden was poorly maintained and looked neglected. There was also an extremely strong chemical smell coming from multiple air fresheners plugged into the outlets. It may create the illusion of cleanliness, but it definitely did not feel fresh or clean. The kitchen equipment was very disappointing as well. There were no proper ceramic or stone plates and bowls — everything was cheap plastic. The non-stick coating on the pans was damaged and peeling, which raises concerns about PFAS and microplastics getting into food. We considered the pans unusable. The towels and bed linen were old and worn out. We found bleach stains on towels and the sheets were covered in pilling/fuzz. To make matters worse, the area between the mattress and the bed frame was extremely dirty, with hairs and insects clearly visible. As if that was not enough, we even found a cockroach in the toilet near the master bedroom. This made my wife feel extremely uncomfortable; she had trouble sleeping and did not even feel comfortable taking a shower. On top of that, the house did not feel secure when locking it up. The only positive point during our stay was the washing machine. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and absolutely not worth the money. The property is overpriced for what you actually get. Our advice: look elsewhere.
