I liked how easy it was to access the property, and the simplicity and perfect space for my children to sleep

I know it's inevitable, with the location and the nature of the property, but the moths did cause some lack of sleep.

Great location 30 minutes from Grand Canyon South Rim. Nice little lodge ideal for a couple with 2 children. The owner was very helpful, took problems seriously and responded quickly. The main issue was the number of problems!

When we arrived, the door should have worked by key code, but the mechanism was broken. I phoned the owner, and they guided me to a very obvious box that contained a physical key. If we had not had to use this key and remove it from the box, anyone could have found it and got into the lodge. ie the security was terrible. Once we were in, there was bedding missing. The owner responded to this but it took far too long for someone to come and sort it out. Also, the heater/air con didn't work when we arrived, which was a big issue as it was a very cold evening. Someone came to try to fix it. They changed some batteries, but still it didn't work. Eventually we figured it out for ourselves. This could be a great little place to stay but the owner needs to put time and effort into maintenance and making sure the place is actually ready for guests. We had hoped to do the night star watching at the canyon but couldn't as we had to hang around for about two hours while all these issues were sorted out.
