Coastal Dunes 1 is a 1-bedroom cottage situated right in the heart of Nags Head, perfect for a weekend getaway or a summer getaway for just the two of you. Here, you can enjoy the views of the ocean from your private deck with your morning coffee, or simply walk a few steps onto the beach and take in the sights and sounds of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Inside the home, there is everything that you need to have a peaceful stay at the beach, including a comfortable queen-sized bed, perfect for relaxing after a fun-filled day exploring the Outer Banks. Can't stay a full week? Coastal Dunes 1 offers nightly stays, allowing you to book a three-night (3-night) minimum at any time.

This home allows the current year's guest the first option to rebook their dates for the future year. Contact our office for details on how to book this home for next year.
No smoking or vaping. *The driveway to this home is monitored by a camera. Any attempt to dismantle, move, or tamper with the camera device in any way is a violation of our house rules and additional charges may apply.*

All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement.
Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a fifty dollar ($50.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Agent in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental rates in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

There is limited ocean view from the deck and bedroom window. The ac/heat worked well. The cottage was a cute little place to stay and it was clean. I felt safe there even though there are 4 units close together. Could use blinds on 2 windows in the front for more privacy. I would prepared to take bath towels and wash cloths just in case the correct supply is not provided. I would stay there again. The host was very nice and communication was good.

Overall we were happy with the location but felt that for the price the kitchenette/ and appliances and the shower unit needs to be updated, as it had mold / mildew in the caulking.

My husband and I stayed at Coastal Dunes Cottage 1 for several days in July, and had an amazing time. The cottage was clean and comfortable for the 2 of us. We loved the short walk to the beach. We also enjoyed a short stroll to breakfast and dinner locations.The neighbors in the other cottages were friendly and engaging.We truly enjoyed our first visit to Outer Banks!
