Sehr gepflegte und gut ausgestattete Doppelhaushälfte in zentraler Lage (Bahnhof und Busstation leicht zu Fuß erreichbar), dennoch ruhig. Freundlicher Empfang mit Scones, Clotted Cream, Jam und Brot. Milch, Tee, Kaffee: alles vorhanden. Vielen Dank! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

The house was immaculate. Great location for exploring Penzance and well equipped. Easy to park to unload, although double yellow lines mean that you have to find alternative parking once you have unloaded. However, there is free parking nearby on the promenade, which is not far away. Also on Alexandra Road, which is a little further away.

We had problems with the door key from Day 1. (Looking at earlier reviews, this had been mentioned before, although our experience suggested this can't have been followed through.) Despite a couple of visits by the owner, it was not possible to fix this while we were there. We had had to leave the door unlocked while we were out, although the quiet location down a side street eased our concerns a little. In the end, the agent for the property, who had been very supportive throughout, offered us another property from the same owner, which we were happy to accept. Well done!

Clean, stylish and well equipped house in a great location. Very welcoming, we were generously supplied with milk, scones, tea, coffee and clotted cream on our arrival.

Only thing we didn’t like was the sofa which we didn’t find very comfortable. Everything else was great.

Bei der Ankunft fanden wir in der Küche ein komplettes kleines Frühstück mit cornischen Produkten vor, sehr nett! Es ist ein hübsches kleines Haus in einer ruhigen Altstadtgasse. Ansprechend eingerichtet, alles da incl. Waschmaschine, Bad mit Badewanne, Extra-WC und einer umfangreichen Info-Mappe. Die Beschreibung auf Booking ist etwas unklar, deshalb hier nochmal: Im ersten Stock sind zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit zwei Einzelbetten und eines mit französischem Doppelbett (mit Dachfenster statt normalem Fenster, kein Problem). Unten ist die Wohnküche. Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein: 600 m / 10 min vom Bahnhof (mit Steigung auf den Altstadthügel), nur 5 min zur Uferpromenade, zum Jubilee Pool, zum Stadtpark Subtropicals Morrab Gardens, zu Läden, Restaurants und zu den Bushaltestellen Green Market und Jubilee Pool (Richtung Mousehole, Porthcurno, Land's End, Boscaswell/Tin Coast und St Ives) - nur in Richtung St Michael's Mount geht es ab Bahnhof. Wir konnten gut mit der Bahn anreisen und den Coast Path und einige weitere Ausflugsziele mit dem Bus erkunden (7-Tage-Ticket). Sehr zu empfehlen!

In diesem Ferienhaus war alles super, außer dass die Wohnzimmertür fixiert war (nicht zu schließen) und dass der Wasserhahn im Bad zu kurz war. Aber das sind Kleinigkeiten.
