Overpriced, avoid.

I rented this property for one week in September. This property is very bad value for money and I would recommend staying 10km down the road in San Vito di Cadore for a fraction of the price and away from all the building work and the mess that is Cortina at the moment (winter olympics). The studio itself is on the ground floor, modern but even smaller than expected (as from pictures). It has 2 very small windows obstructed by cast iron meshing and basically no views. During the day, vehicles (tradies truck, full size buses, …) park right in front of the property blocking the one small window with sun. The sofa in the picture is the bed. The second bed is a pull out from the same sofa that is in a bad state. If you want the use of the sofa during the day, you have to undo and re-do the bed(s) every morning/evening. The kitchen, though very well equipped, was not particularly well thought out. It is a real challenge to cook anything (no kettle, no toaster). The fridge is very noisy (kept me awake at night). The space is so tight, the freezer cannot actually be open all the way and therefore is pretty much useless. If you have wet gear, there is nowhere to dry as the windows are blocked and there is no stand provided in the studio. One of the wardrobes does not open fully as the sofa bed is in the way. The bathroom is good: Clean, modern, functional, no washing machine (Lavapiu 4km away). The outdoor lock jams (almost got locked out a few times). No smoke alarm. If you’re going to the Dolomites, rent a place that has fab views and a least room to swing a couple of cats. Not a shoe box on a ground floor overlooking whoever decides to park in front of the property on the day.
