Great place for a stopover on my way back to the UK. I brought some terrible weather with me so I would love to go back

Fabulous modern rework to the building. They haven’t quite finished yet but everything works. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Good secure parking for my motorcycle.

Bastogne’s Quiet Secret Worth Finding

Tucked just outside the tourist hustle of Bastogne, Domaine de l’Ambassadeur feels like one of those rare finds you almost don’t want to tell anyone about. A place where history sits in the stone, but the comfort is unapologetically modern. The bones are old — the kind of old that whispers stories if you listen — but someone with good taste and a sharp eye has rebuilt it into something sleek, polished, and quietly confident. I rolled in hot and sweaty from the road, helmet hair and all, and found not just a room, but a little oasis. Crisp linens. Modern fixtures. That faint scent of wood and clean air. The kind of space where you can finally take a deep breath and let the road fade into memory. The owner has a distillery on site — and it’s not just for show. There’s craft here, real pride in the bottle, and the bar is open 24/7 with free amenities for guests. Coffee? Strong and good. Croissants? Buttery and still warm, the kind that makes you slow down and savor. Dinner wasn’t on offer, but there are shops nearby if you want to play your own chef. They’re new at this — you can feel the nervous energy — but it’s the kind of nervous that comes from wanting to get it right. And they do. Helpful, friendly, trying hard for their guests, which in my book beats slick, soulless service every time. For motorcyclists, it’s a dream base. Safe indoor parking, a location just far enough from Bastogne’s crowds to feel peaceful, and roads in every direction worth riding without the dead weight of luggage. I could see it being equally perfect for cyclists plotting their next day’s assault on the Ardennes. It’s beautiful here. A little raw at the edges, sure — but in the way that makes you root for it. This is the sort of place you come back to, and I will. Next time, I’ll raise a glass from that distillery and toast the ride that brought me back.

This was one of the nicest hotels we have encountered on our 4 week tour of Europe! Lovely, modern hotel with Avery accommodating staff. Could not have been more satisfied. Would highly recommend this facility.

Ankommen und wohlfühlen in einer nachhaltigen Umgebung.

Super! Ich war auf der Durchreise mit dem Fahrrad und hatte ein Zimmer gebucht. Ich hatte ein Problem mit meiner Schaltung, Stèphane war sehr hilfsbereit und hat mich unterstützt mit allen Mitteln. Es gibt alles was man braucht, Pumpe, Werkzeug, bike cleaner, unterstell Möglichkeit, Wasserschlauch usw. . Das Zimmer sind bis ins Detail sehr gut geplant, angefangen von der Ausstattung, über die Beleuchtung ist alles sehr hochwertig verarbeitet. Es gibt kostenlos, Wasser, Tee und Café für alle Gäste. Auch ein Kühlschrank mit ausgewählten Getränken (lokale Weine, Bier, Säfte usw.) gibt es für einen kleinen Preis. Beim Frühstück und auch bei anderen Produkten an der Bar wird sehr großen Wert auf Qualität, Nachhaltigkeit und „Regional“ gelegt. Hier bekommt man meiner Meinung mehr für sein Geld als ich für möglich gehalten hatte. Absolute Empfehlung!

Moderne accomodatie met veel charme, en vriendelijke mensen !

Was er met mijn zoon. Vriendelijke ontvangst, mooi gebouw, gezellige kamers, zalige douche, zalig bed. Weinig lawaai uit andere kamers. Geslapen als een marmot.. Ook aan ontbijt heel vriendelijke ontvangst door gastvrouw, bijna alles is artisanaal en lokaal ( vers wit en donker stokbrood, confituren, yoghurt, pasta's, eitjes, fruit, verschillende lekkere kazen, fijne charcuterie, keuze uit croissant en chocoladekoeken, heel lekkere koffie uit automaat,..). De ontbijtplek zelf nodigt door zijn gezelligheid uit tot lang tafelen, en als je vragen hebt, dan beantwoord de gastvrouw die met met plezier in Frans én vlot Nederlands. Ik heb de omgeving daar niet verkend ( we kwamen van wandeling in Achouffe, en lekker gegeten in " le charme de Wibrin"), maar ik kom hier graag terug, en zoek dan naar wandelingen in de buurt ! Een plekje om te koesteren ! Christophe

Un accueil charmant et une chambre solo agréable.

La dame de l'accueil était adorable et la chambre était très bien. Il y a un parking juste à côté de l'établissement et on peut se rendre sur la terrasse à n'importe quel moment de la journée.

Seul petit point négatif : entendre les gens qui passent dans le couloir.

Très bel établissement décoré avec goût. Toutes les installations sont modernes. Le petit déjeuner propose des produits locaux de qualité. Le patron est très serviable et agréable. Si nous repassons dans la région nous reviendrons bien évidemment

De ontvangst was heel vriendelijk. De kamer uitstekend ! En de omgeving geweldig.

Dat er nog geen restaurant aanwezig was. Wel heeft de gastvrouw ons informatie gegeven van alle restaurants in de buurt. Ook zou zij voor ons eten kunnen bestellen en laten bezorgen zodat wij het in hotel kunnen nuttigen.

Bij het ontbijt had ik graag yoghurt niet in potjes maar uit een kom en havermout. Ook een kom fruitsalade zou daar bij passen. De behulpzaamheid en de vriendelijkheid van de uitbater en personeel waren van de bovenste plank. Om een voorbeeld te geven: ik had mijn sportkledij besmeurd met modder. Op mijn vraag werd mij met de glimlach een emmer met lauw water, borstel en vod bezorgd zodat ik aan de slag kon gaan. Verder alles gloednieuw, modern, prachtige restauratie.

L'accueil était impeccable avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Les propriétaires sont très dévoués aux clients. Le mariage de la déco moderne avec l'ancienne bâtisse est très harmonieux. On ne peut que conseiller de s'y arrêter.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad waarbij het aan niets ontbrak. We gunnen dit hotel heel veel gasten!

We hadden de eer de eerste gasten te zijn van dit hotel. Bij aankomst loeiden de koeien ons al tegemoet. We waren op doorreis en kwamen in de voorbereiding bij toeval bij dit hotel. Het was heel goed verzorgd, de kamer was ruim en de badkamer en bedden heel goed. De bar is superleuk en het uitzicht heerlijk landelijk. De locatie was midden in een klein dorpje, tegelijkertijd niet ver van de snelweg. Op de shortlist voor toekomstige roadtrips!
