Foxglove House

Small, but fully functional room with ensuite bathroom, and fab kitchen.

Excellent location, great facilities, quiet and close to the airport for our early departure.

We had some difficulty locating your premises, partly due to the nearby road works and a few more teabags would have been welcome.

Quiet and secluded, extremely comfortable and relaxing getaway

Gemma was very communicative and gave us great information prior to our arrival. She lives on site, which is great because she personally greeted us upon our arrival and, among other things, introduced us to her two wonderful dogs. At night it was extremely dark, which helped us sleep after the long flight from Seattle.

It felt a bit too remote for us. We've visited Ireland several times over the years and have no problem getting off the beaten track and this was less off the track than many places we've stayed, But it wasn't as close to services as we prefer. Also, the kitchen is very limited, so if you're planning on doing a lot of cooking for a large gathering, best to look somewhere else. But it's certainly a big step up from the minimalist kitchens you might get in a hotel. And cooking for a crowd (or for anyone, including ourselves, really) it served its purpose. There is no central sitting around space such as a living room, so you're either in your bedroom or in the small kitchen.
