    We liked the hotel. It was clean and well located. The only downside was that there was no mini fridge in the room.

    The hotel is close to railway and bus stations and an easy walk to the centre. Hotel clean and comfortable with helpful staff The only negative is the location of a homeless charity in the next road which at times generates noise

    I am extremely dissatisfied with Agoda's customer service regarding a booking at the Leonardo Hotel Cork for 10–11 August 2026. When making the booking, we understood from the information displayed on the screen that it could be cancelled within 24 hours of payment. However, after payment, the confirmation stated that the booking was non-refundable. We contacted Agoda repeatedly to explain the situation and request cancellation. We also spoke personally to the Leonardo Hotel Cork during another stay there from 6 to 7 August. The hotel advised us to contact Agoda again, as Agoda had managed the booking and collected the payment. We followed that advice and contacted Agoda again before the date of the reservation. We also informed the hotel before the stay that we were already back in Spain and would not be using the room, specifically asking them to release it so that it could be offered to another guest. Despite all these attempts, Agoda never provided a substantive response to our cancellation and refund request. The only response we received was a payment receipt. The stay date has now passed, and we have still received neither an explanation nor a refund of the £150.97 (€176.90) charged. What I find most disappointing is the complete lack of effective customer service. We made repeated attempts to resolve the issue before the stay and to minimise any loss by allowing the room to be resold, yet our requests were simply not addressed. I have now submitted a formal complaint requesting a full refund. I expect Agoda to investigate the case, respond properly to my complaint and reimburse the £150.97 (€176.90).
