Hidden Paradise Private Villa 2, Langkawi

Pretty much everything. It could do with some minor maintenance, but we are so very glad we stayed here. The Philippine couple who do everything (Ken and Crisha) are lovely, and the place itself us fantastic, surrounded by forest with frogs, crickets, birds, monkeys. Beautiful, and so much nicer than the over-manicured Datai hotel next door. And a fraction of the price. It's almost the end of the road, literally, and i wouldn't want to be here without a car.

Nothing significant. Booking says it has a kitchen and washing machine, but those belong to Ken and Crisha, who kindly let us use them.

The in house host Ken and the staff were professional, always available and outstanding throughout our stay, and they prepared wonderful breakfasts each morning and dinners for us on request. The views from both the villa and the pool are truly spectacular and exceeded expectations. The bed and villa setup was great, with an amazing balcony with a stunning view from bed of the Datai Bay and Thailand in the distance. We were able to rent a sea kayak through the in house staff, and we enjoyed a nice half day excursion in the bay and along the Datai beach below the villas.

There are some small upgrades such as new lounge chair cushions and pool towels that would go a long way. The tropical weather in Langkawi must definitely take a toll on everything outside. The property is in the heart of a 10 million year old rainforest with jungle all around, huge trees overhead, and the villas are literally built on the side of a cliff, so upkeep here must be very difficult. The Datai beach is absolutely stunning, but access to the beach below requires low tide, renting a sea kayak or a several hundred meter swim if the tide is up. It is beautiful though!

Kleine, private Anlage im Dschungel mit Aussicht auf die Andamansee bis Thailand. Überaus freundliches Personal, das uns bei allen Fragen geholfen hat. Abwechslungsreiches Frühstück, auch einheimische Kost. Traumhafter Pool.Man wohnt inmitten der malayischen Tierwelt, aber trotzdem mit Komfort. Vielen Dank an Ken mit Familie.

Es sind Kleinigkeiten zu verbessern. Zum Beispiel: Neue Auflagen für die Liegen und neue Poolhandtücher wären schön. Auch das Preis Leistungsverhältnis beim Abendessen sollte überdacht werden. Strand schwer zugänglich. Tipp: Scooter oder Auto erforderlich.
