The best thing about this hostel is its excellent location in central Shanghai. It is close to a metro station and situated in a pleasant, upscale neighborhood. The hostel has been recently renovated with a modern design. It was previously known as 99 Hostel on maps but is now under new management. The beds are comfortable, and the bunk ladders are sturdy and easy to climb. Each bed has a privacy curtain, a power outlet, and a personal reading light. The shared bathrooms are spacious and clean. There are several hair dryers available for guests. The room rate is reasonable, and payment is made upon arrival. The rooms are air-conditioned and quiet. Each bed has a large personal locker that can be opened using the room key card. There is no need to bring your own padlock, and no key deposit is required.

By far the biggest drawback is the complete absence of kitchen facilities. There isn't even a spoon, fork, knife, or plate available, making it impossible to prepare or cook any food. This was a major inconvenience throughout our stay. The common lounge and dining tables are very small and almost always occupied. There are too many rooms for the size of the property, making the hostel feel overcrowded. Male and female dormitories are completely separated, with no mixed dorms available. As a result, the female dorms are more expensive. The reception staff do not speak English and rely entirely on translation apps, which made communication difficult. The hostel seems to cater primarily to local Chinese guests rather than international travelers. The hostel is located on an upper floor, and there is no elevator. Carrying heavy luggage up the stairs was quite challenging. Wifi was bad , we was using our cell phone data
