The location is amazing! Right by the tube and tons of restaurants/ shopping nearby. Right by a nice sized supermarket. Very central location.
The steps to the apartment are steep and narrow (hard with luggage). The unit has a dropped ceiling in the hallway for a staircase to the above apartment. My husband hit his head on it constantly. At 5’5” I skimmed under it. There are not outlets in the bathroom - makes it difficult to use heat tools. The second bedroom is tiny. You can hear every step of the overhead neighbor.

Directions to the flat and key collection/drop off was straightforward and easy. Hosts were very reactive and helpful, quick response to my questions and offered quick assistance. They were generous with the coffee pods and left us some snacks to nibble on - such a nice touch! Toilets and towels were clean. Chapel Market is vibey with great restaurants, supermarket and shops.
Flat can be cleaner, the floor was dusty, the sofa looked tired and was stained, flowers left wilting behind in a vase of brown water. Master bed mattress was 'sunken' when we arrived, though it was promptly rectified by the host. It was summer heatwave and would have been nice to have a fan, we slept with windows open, but it was too warm to sleep, and there was a loud noise of some machinery starting up every morning for about 20 mins from the master bedroom.
