中棚荘

Lovely traditional and authentic Japanese Ryokan, great atmosphere for chilling out. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, which was absolutely amazing! The attention to detail in the meal presentation and taste are top notch. There is a lovely onsen (seperate for men and women) up the stairs from the main accomodation. Additionally, We would like to thank Yoko-san (the proprietor) for the lovely touches on the day of my wife's birthday! The nearest town is Komoro, and we chose to take the taxi everytime, which can be arranged by the Ryokan; it's around 5 minutes to town by car.

Nothing, it was absolutely lovely. One thing we found with the taxis is that if you are not near a taxi stand, it could be quite difficult to summon for one even with the Go app or Uber. It may be due to the rural area, as we had to walk 2 kms one day after shopping from a supermarket, as we could not order any taxis through the apps.

The meals were amazing, great quality food. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the soba noodle class next door. The onsen was great but a bit of a walk away.

The location was very strange, next to a power plant and a fair walk to the train station up hill which I wasn't expecting. Fine if you want to stay at the ryokan.

Schöne große Suite, extrem aufmerksames Personal, wir wurden rundum betreut, was fehlte an nichts. Super leckeres Essen. Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft abseits der üblichen Zentren.

Steile Treppen sind vielleicht für ältere Gäste ein wenig beschwerlich. Schwefeliger Geruch aus dem Leitungswasser.
