LOCATION!! I really appreciated the laundry facilities, the daily cleaning service, the roomy bathroom, the comfortable beds, and the excellent pressure in the shower, but what I LOVED was the location. Not only were the facilities just a couple of blocks from prime shopping and Ginza experiences, but on the very same block as the hotel there was a fantastic matcha spot that had wending lines throughout the day, an amazing little pancake spot (SO good) on the corner, and a wonderful little underground (and unmarked) bespoke bar with highly crafted, intentional cocktails. Honestly, the lodgings themselves are fairly humble, but the location was in the very thick of unexpected, curated experiences.
We arrived early, and our room was ready, but she charged us $60 to check in. On the one hand: ok, it was early check in. On the other: the room was ready?
