    Poor location in a very highly congested traffic intersection area, difficult to access in peak time. The hotel is in Paharganj and lists itself as located in the city centre! Overall the place gave unwelcome vibes from the moment I reached the lobby. The front desk refused to accept my government of India issued pensioner identity card for check in. This is the first instance when this ID was refused, as I have stayed at several hotels including other Novotels in India using the same ID. Friendly and welcoming service was missing. Though the room was spacious with clean linen and towels, it had visible signs of poor maintenance: upholstery with stains, broken bedside light fitting, etc. On checking in to the room there were half eaten confectionary and fruit plates kept right at the door, an unpleasant sight. The room had minimum amenities and even the standard carpet slippers were not provided. Breakfast spread and service was good, there was ample seating space with good city view. Will avoid this Novotel for future stays.

    Pros: Dining: Great variety at the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, featuring Indian, Asian, and Western cuisines. The selection changed daily, which was a highlight of the stay. Service: Housekeeping and reception staff were friendly and helpful. Cleanliness: The rooms were kept quite clean throughout our stay. Cons: Room Layout & Soundproofing: The rooms are not soundproof; we could easily hear people talking in the hallways and neighboring rooms. The bathroom design with sliding doors lacked privacy. Facilities: The rooftop area gets very hot, and the pool is quite small. We also noticed pigeons drinking from the pool, which raised some hygiene concerns. Location: Traffic around the hotel can be very heavy during peak hours, making it difficult to get around quickly. Summary: A decent stay with good food and helpful staff, but let down by poor soundproofing and some facility maintenance issues.
