COPASTR: 547-310 On the quiet, golf-cart-friendly side of Port Aransas, in the Fisherman's Cove neighborhood, Knot A Care is an easygoing island home built for families and groups who want the beach close and the days unhurried. It sleeps 12 across a smart, open layout, and the Gulf sits less than a mile away — near enough to load up the golf cart, cruise to the sand, and be back for an afternoon swim without ever touching the car. That swim usually happens right in the backyard, where the private pool becomes the center of the whole trip. Guests come back to it again and again: kids logging hours in the water, someone grilling fajitas or burgers, and everyone drifting toward the poolside dining table as the famous Port A sunset takes over the sky. A second fridge downstairs keeps cold drinks close, and the fenced pool-and-patio area lets little ones splash while the grown-ups keep an easy eye from the shade. Just off the pool, the garage game area is the home's not-so-secret weapon — the spot reviewers keep crediting for keeping kids (and plenty of adults) happy, especially when a coastal rain shower blows through. Upstairs, the thoughtfully decorated living space opens up: a bright, well-stocked kitchen with an island and bar seating, a dining area, and a comfortable living room with a sleeper sofa. Guests consistently mention how thoroughly the kitchen is equipped, down to the cookware and utensils that make cooking for a crowd genuinely easy, and a full-size washer and dryer keeps sandy towels and swimsuits in rotation all week. Four bedrooms keep the sleeping simple. Two king suites each have their own private bath — a favorite for couples and families sharing the house — while a queen room and a bunk room (one full plus two twins) give kids and extra guests their own corner. With three full bathrooms, the morning rush to the beach stays painless. Part of what guests love most is the setting. This is a calm, safe pocket of the island where you can actually hear yourself think, yet the island's grocery, shops, and restaurants are a few minutes out by cart or car. The Port Aransas Nature Preserve, with its boardwalks and birdwatching, sits nearby, and Mustang Island's Gulf beaches open up for drive-on days, fishing, and long barefoot walks. When you want a change of scene, downtown Corpus Christi and its aquarium, historic ships, and bayfront seafood are an easy day trip across the causeway. However you spend the days, Knot A Care makes the settling-in the easy part — clean, well-stocked, and laid out so the whole group can gather or slip away, with the pool waiting whenever you're ready. Local Attractions: Mustang Island Beach, Port Aransas Nature Preserve, Dolphin Tours, Texas SandFest, Fishing Charters, Port Aransas Art Center, Red Dragon Pirate Cruises, Golf Courses, Port Aransas Museum, UT Marine Science Institute (UTMSI) *Home Truths:* - Pool heat is available for an additional fee and can be turned on at any time upon guest request. - Please note: Pool heat will not be available for the summer months (May - September). - We do not provide charcoal for the BBQ. - Quiet Hours are 10 pm to 7 am. - Construction is always happening somewhere in Port Aransas; we can't guarantee that you won't hear/see construction, building, or community improvement projects and events during your stay. - Cable/WIFI is provided as a convenience; Port A does experience outages from time to time. - Please remember that you are on an island; mosquitos/pests can be plentiful several times yearly. - Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet. - Please note that the maximum occupancy includes infants and babies. Ensure that the total number of guests, including little ones, adheres to the specified occupancy limit. - Guests must be 21 years or older to book this home. Parking Details: - Parking is available for 3-4 vehicles depending on size. - Please note that all vehicles must be parked in the driveway only. Parking on the rocks or lawn is strictly prohibited to prevent damaged to the property. - Golf cart parking is allowed. --- The room configuration is as follows: Primary Bedroom / King bed Bedroom 2 / King bed Bedroom 3 / Queen bed Bedroom 4 / Bunk bed This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees. There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions. As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards. IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit. We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.
