Villa exceptionnelle en bord de mer

This villa blew us all away as soon as we drove up the driveway. The photos don't capture nearly half of the property that you have to yourself. The design of the house is perfect for relaxing and entertaining - we spent so much time by the infinity pool, playing games in the pool house, reading on the deck and wandering the grounds. We got picked up for a boat trip from the private boat ramp at the bottom of the property. Rakhea, the housekeeper, came each day and was very friendly and helpful if we needed. Elodie was on hand to help with any request including the boat tour and connecting us with Theo from Le Table Nomade for a special private dining experience (highly recommend for in-house fine dining!) Stunning setting in a smaller village. Probably best to have a car for this property, larger shopping centre about 20 mins drive away.

Only a minor thing - it's a very inside/outside living house which we loved. It does mean you have to be conscious of local animals coming in - but didn't really bother us at all.

Tout simplement parfait - la vue surplombant la baie de Trou d’Eau Douce, la piscine à débordement, les différents espaces extérieurs, le départ en bateau de la villa, le jardin luxuriant entretenu avec soin par George et Georgette, tout est réuni pour déconnecter et se reposer dans ce petit paradis! L’hôte est très réactif et disponible pour répondre à l’ensemble de nos questions avant et pendant le séjour. Reka est au petit soin, s’occupant du nettoyage tout les jours ce qui est un vrai plus! Nous vous recommandons également Veema pour ses massages qui nous avait été recommandé par l’hôte. L’emplacement est idéal pour rayonner dans l’est (Île aux Cerfs, Mahebourg, Blue Bay, cascade, Bellemare…), il faut prévoir 1h30-2h pour le sud/Morne. Le village possède tout ce dont on a besoin: restaurants (pensez à réserver car souvent complets), petites épiceries locales, distributeur, l’ambiance y est authentique et locale.

The garden and pool is beautiful, and the outdoor bar area is the perfect place to enjoy a drink in the evening. It’s very spacious and the communication before arrival was brilliant.

Softer and newer towels would have been nice - they’re a tad on the crispy and grey side! The kitchen equipment and utensils are very old and some not particularly clean. Given this is a self catering villa, it would have been nice to have better utensils, sharper knives, and some essentials upon arrival such a milk and cooking oil.
