We arrived earlier than we had anticipated and called the to see if we could drop off our bags. Maria Theresa met us and took us for coffee while we waited for her husband Franceso to bring the keys, they let us have the apartment early, and we were able to park right outside the main door for a few minutes to unpack our car. The apartment is on the first floor, but there is a lift so getting heavy suitcases up to it was not an issue. There is a little balcony with views of the mountains. Maria Theresa was very gracious, showed us everything about the property and the town, gave us hints on best restaurants etc. The property is located at the edge of the old city, 10 minutes flat walking. The city of Aosta is lovely and very historical, with Roman ruins to view easily. The town is much bigger than I had realised. We had some nice meals out and also did some cooking in the apartment which was well fitted for self catering. The largest and best supplied supermarket we had ever seen, anywhere, was 10 minutes walk further out of town, it had such a great range of products that we were happy we could self cater. There was a washing machine so we were able to keep on top of laundry.

Parking was more difficult than we would have liked, we picked up a parking fine as hadn't read the sign properly but that was our fault. The balcony overlooks the mountains but it also overlooks the back of a lot of properties and car parking and the apartment block is located next to a commercial property so the outlook as not as nice as we had expected but, being in an old Italian town, that is much to be expected.

The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped. It had everything we needed, including a washing machine, iron and ironing board, as well as plenty of kitchen equipment. In terms of cleanliness and facilities, it was a very pleasant place to stay. We also really appreciated that we were able to check in earlier than planned, so we did not have to leave our luggage in the car. That was very helpful and made our arrival much easier. If you are hoping to sleep in or spend a quiet day relaxing inside the apartment, this may currently be difficult due to the construction noise.

Unfortunately, during our stay there was ongoing renovation work in the apartment above us. The noise started as early as 7:30 a.m. and included drilling, hammering and other construction work. We would have appreciated being informed about this before our stay, as it had quite a significant impact on our experience. Based on the amount of work taking place, we expect the renovation may continue for several more months. Our stay was in September 2026, so this is something future guests may want to keep in mind.

Un alloggio spazioso, luminoso, pulito e dotato di ogni comfort. Lavastoviglie, lavatrice, aria condizionata e ogni tipo di prodotto da bagno (shampoo, balsamo per capelli, creme corpo...) La signora ci ha accolto con estrema gentilezza dandoci consigli e informazioni che si sono rivelate fondamentali nella nostra tappa ad Aosta. La bellezza dell'appartamento insieme alla gentilezza della nostra host hanno fatto sì che il nostro soggiorno, seppur breve, sia stato davvero piacevole. Ci torneremo sicuramente
