KOHARU by HHG

Location is fantastic. Literally a 2 minutes walk to the bottom of the Sakka Slopes (far skiiers right of Happo-One). Also the bus to Tsugaike leaves from the bottom of Sakka slop which makes it very convenient. Love that Koharu provide a van to pick you up from either the Station or the Bus-stop, just have to make sure you let them know ahead of time. It's also super useful that they can accept your ski-gear ahead of time if you ship it to them :). All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

For the price we paid, I'd expect the linens to be changed daily. But honestly, other than that, everything was great!

The room is nice and comfortable and location was quite good.

Staff tried to be polite and helpful generally but lacked real hospitality experience and certainly cannot compare with Japanese standards. Failed in their organisation of the shuttle transfers for us twice, leaving us having to wait a long time. Rooms were not cleaned most of the time. Only replaced towels and very basic cleaning. For the prices we paid (more than S$1,200 per night) we were expecting much more.
