Stanza privata con bagno nel centro di Milano

Perhaps the bed it’s not perfect for two people but it’s good enough and fairly comfortable.

If you’re looking for an authentic experience of “living” in Milan, this is a great location. 20 minutes to the Duomo on the tram line located just up the street from the apartment. Felt perfectly secure & safe, a nice spot to spend the night after spending all day exploring Milan. The bed was comfortable, room was beautifully decorated. I believe some of the bad reviews were from people who probably should have just stayed in a hotel, but if you’re looking for an authentic experience and don’t mind a small space, this is it. I also don’t agree with the other reviews worrying about being unable to lock the door separating the rooms - I felt perfectly secure and the host does a good job of not intruding at all or making you feel like you are in his space. It is very much separate. The host Matteo was also very friendly and helped us reach the apartment in the best way.

While the bed was comfortable, the pillows were quite flat, making it really hard to get a good night’s sleep despite the comfort of the bed. Would recommend the host to get new pillows. The bed was a double, which was fine for my husband & I but other couples may struggle in a smaller bed. I would also say that if you are a larger individual you may struggle getting in and out of the apartment as the doorway is quite small, and we had a hard time getting our bags in & out. We were also provided with 1 bath towel, and two sets of bath sheet sized towels (not large enough to fit around your body), that unfortunately did not smell clean. The bathroom situation was fine & can confirm it was private and not shared with the host unlike some of the other reviews suggest. I haven’t seen other reviews mention that the apartment is above a few restaurants (which is not at all the fault of the host) so you can hear the closing of the restaurants and dishes being done echoing through the courtyard. We’ve been backpacking for a few months & were comfortable here for a few nights despite the above, but if you’re used to staying in hotels or stays with more amenities, this may not be the place for you.
