We really enjoyed our stay! The house was wonderful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The area around it was beautiful, and the location was perfect — close to all the main attractions. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

Perched on a high-altitude plateau, this valley dwelling offers a genuine mountain retreat aesthetic, boasting an elevation of around 1090 meters above sea level – a significant 10-degree difference from lower-lying towns like Perućac or Bajina Bašta. The house, or "vikendica," is commendably equipped for shorter stays (our four days were perfectly catered for), providing all essential kitchen appliances and crockery. While host responses can be significantly delayed, they are, thankfully, thorough and helpful. Access is via a convenient key-code lockbox at the entrance, and there's ample parking. The outdoor space is a particular highlight, featuring swings, a nest swing, and a well-appointed grill area complete with abundant firewood and a dedicated wash station. Evenings here reveal a truly spectacular starry sky. Windows on two sides offer varied vistas; the view from the second floor, looking out onto the forest and mountains, is nothing short of magnificent. The house is also fitted with a wood-burning stove, which proved incredibly useful when temperatures plummeted to +15 degrees Celsius during a rain shower. Within 1.5 km, you'll find a couple of local mini-markets and kafanas serving authentic local fare. The surrounding forest, ripe with berries and fragrant aromas, offers delightful walking trails. On a sunny day, the valley itself is exceptionally appealing. We experienced comfortable beds and a high quality of sleep. Notably, Zaovine Lake is a mere 15-minute drive, Perućac 30 minutes, and the Banjska Stena also 15-20 minutes by car.
However, some notable drawbacks exist. The Wi-Fi is virtually non-existent; across four days, we couldn't connect once, necessitating reliance on personal mobile hotspots (Yettel signal proved superior here). Overall network coverage is quite weak, so bear this in mind. Payment is strictly cash-only and handled via third parties. For more extensive grocery shopping, be prepared for a 37 km drive along winding serpentine roads to the nearest well-stocked supermarket. This often entails purchasing a 7-day entry permit for Tara National Park (approximately 800 Dinar), an additional consideration. The property, being relatively new, unfortunately has building materials strewn under the porch and across the plot, including nails and rebar – a definite safety concern. Furthermore, the area is dotted with other rental properties, meaning if neighbors decide to blast music, there's little respite from the noise. The host has unreasonable expectations of guests. We left some unwashed dishes before leaving, and I received a message with questionable content in my private messages. I consider this unacceptable.
