The accommodation
Welcome to one of our newly renovated apartments in the heart of Lisbon!
This apartment is located on the 1st floor of a traditional Lisbon building in the city center. It has a lot of charm and personality.
You will find a modern living room with a sofa bed, a magnificent bedroom with a double bed, a second bedroom with a single bed, a bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has been decorated in an industrial style with some touches of traditional Portuguese architecture, such as a visible wooden frame "Cruz de Santo André", typical of 18th century Lisbon architecture. Cable TV and Wi-Fi Internet access available.
We do not have air conditioning as we think it is not necessary. Portuguese houses are built to be cool, even during the summer. If you wish, we can provide fans!
You will be within a short walking distance of Rossio, the main square of the city and in the heart of the city of Lisbon, three metro stops away (Rossio, Martim Moniz and Retauradores) and close to Rossio train station. You will also be just a few minutes away from the historic districts of Alfama and Bairro Alto.
We are located 50 m from the birthplace of the Queen of Fado, Amalia, and you will find many small typical restaurants, supermarkets and a vending machine, all within a short distance.
Walking down the street, on the left is Martim Moniz Square, the new trendy place with new pubs and restaurants and where tram 28 starts. To the right is Avenida da Liberdade, where there are renowned international shops to tempt and inspire you, as well as Rua das Portas de Santo Antão with the Coliseu music hall, traditional restaurants, and going straight ahead you will head toward Rossio and Baixa Pombalina.

Very close to many restaurants, Moorish quarter and Rossio square. Short walk to rua Augusta as well. Steep hills to walk up with suitcases - steep stairs to enter apartment. Not a problem for our family, was the perfect location for a landing spot for our walking days around Lisbon.
