About this cottage rental
Welcome to The Yellow Cottage!
• Private Home on Oak Island
• Well stocked home with fully fenced private back yard
• Easy walk to the beach! 0.2 miles to the closest public beach access
• Back Porch with grill, outdoor dining table, screened in sitting area, and outdoor shower
The Space:
• Private 2 Bed/2 Bath Home
• Well stocked kitchen (coffee pot and Keurig style, toaster, blender, pots/pans, dinnerware, utensils, cooking sheets, & more)
• Appliances (Full size refrigerator & freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, blender, & toaster)
• Master Bedroom with private attached full bathroom and queen bed
• Second Bedroom and bathroom located off of the hall with 1 double and 1 twin bed
• High-speed WiFi
• HD Smart Roku TV
• Complimentary Beach Chairs
• We supply bed linens & bath towels. Beach towels NOT provided.
• We also provide enough hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, & trash bags to get you started upon arrival. However, if you are staying longer than a couple nights, please plan to supplement with your own supplies based on your personal needs.
• Please note that we do require a signed rental agreement.
Pet Fee:
• Please message us for pet approval prior to booking.
• Pets MUST be added to your reservation during the booking process. Once added, the $100 pet fee is included as part of the nightly rate (spread out equally over the course of the stay) and in the total price at checkout.
• Pet fee is non-refundable and is a flat rate for the stay.
• Limit is 2 dogs; no other animals permitted.
• Must pick up all droppings from pet(s).
• Dogs must be fully housebroken.
• Dogs are not permitted on furniture or linens.
House Rules:
• NO SMOKING. If anything is smoked inside, you will incur a $200 fee for deodorization treatment.
• Check-in time is 4:00PM and check out by 10:00AM. Early check ins and late check outs are not available due to our cleaning schedules. Unapproved late checkouts may result in a $200 fee.
• No parking on premises before check in time or after check out time.
• Self check-in with keyless PIN code lock
• Please park in the gravel driveway and not on the grass. A maximum of three cars may park at the property.
• In order to avoid potential staining, please do NOT use bleach to clean anything during your stay. We have professional cleaners who will use bleach appropriately in between guests to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
• Only stainless steel cleaners may be used on stainless steel appliances. Other cleaners will cause stainless steel to rust, so please do not use them on the appliances.
• Visitors must be approved by the host.
• Be respectful of our neighbors. Keep noise volume low and no walking through neighbors yards.
• Do not burn incense, essential oils, or similar items. These scents are difficult to remove before the next guest checks in, and some guests may have sensitivity to smells.

This cozy little cottage was the perfect getaway. To start the host makes a wonderful impression as soon as you book by being so friendly, and quick to answer any questions you may have. They also made it known that they are there for you, and willing to help in any way during your stay. I have rented houses through VRBO numerous times and have never had such a friendly, helpful host. The house is a charming little cottage where you can relax and feel comfortable. It was well stocked and clean and perfect for our group. The location is close to shops and restaurants and just a short drive to Southport. My dog loved the fenced in back yard that was the perfect size for him to get outside and run around. I will definitely add this house to my favorites!

Great home if traveling with your dog. Fenced yard and close to beach access (although you do have to cross a street that can have heavy traffic at certain times of day). Clean and comfortable accommodations. Well-stocked kitchen. Very convenient location, close to many local restaurants and area grocery stores.
