Welcome to our cozy “Toornkieker Vacation Apartment” on Borkum. This spacious apartment is ideal for a relaxing family vacation for up to six people. The sweeping view across the lush horse pastures to Borkum’s New Lighthouse is truly remarkable. Just a few minutes by bike—and you’re already at the boardwalk and the beach!
With two bedrooms, a modern kitchen, and a small guest bathroom, the apartment is perfect for longer stays; thanks to its comfortable amenities and stylish decor, you’ll feel right at home.
The entryway offers plenty of space for the whole family’s jackets and boots. From the bright, central living and dining area, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed, distant view of Borkum’s green landscape—a perfect vista for starting your day on the island over breakfast. You can wind down the day watching the sunset on the adjoining balcony.
If you’re having trouble choosing among the many nearby restaurants, the modern, spacious, and fully equipped kitchen has everything you could want. It features, among other things, a stove, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as a coffee and tea maker, toaster, and electric kettle.
After a day in the fresh North Sea air, you can unwind in peace in the spacious bathroom with two large sinks, a bathtub, and a separate shower, while the small guest bathroom makes daily bathroom routines more relaxing.
The separate bedrooms offer pleasant places to retreat and are each equipped with small writing areas. The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed (100 x 200 cm), and the children’s bedroom with a bunk bed (90 x 200). Additional guests can sleep on the full-size double sofa bed in the living room. All rooms have blackout curtains to ensure a restful night’s sleep.
A Miele washing machine is available for your use in the apartment. You can also use the Wi-Fi, with speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s via GigaCube, at no additional charge. The FM/DAB+ radio has a Bluetooth interface and an AUX input.
For young North Sea vacationers, a crib with a mattress is available. It is stored in the living room cabinet and can be set up easily and quickly.
A table tennis table in the house offers opportunities for leisure activities.

The vacation apartments are located in the “Holiday Residenz II” residential complex. It’s centrally located on Richthofenstraße, yet quiet and not right in the heart of town. In the town center itself (800 m away), small shops, cafés, and restaurants invite you to take a leisurely stroll. After 1.5 km (a 6-minute bike ride), you’ll reach the beautiful sandy beach and the promenade. From the complex, you can enjoy relaxing walks and bike rides through Borkum’s natural surroundings.
From the ferry, the narrow-gauge train runs all the way to the town center. From there, the apartments are still about 950 m away. Upon your arrival, taxis are available to take you and your luggage to your vacation rental. The complex is easily accessible by car and offers parking spaces for cars and bicycles right in front of the building.
In front of the complex is the Nabrotzky Island Bakery—perfect for fresh breakfast rolls.
