W Punta Cana, Adults All-Inclusive

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This trip was about relaxation and that’s exactly what I did! What truly stood out to me was the customer service. They all had great customer service from the check in process and assisting with bags to the entertainment. They truly make the effort to accommodate you! Most of my meals were decent but did lack a bit in seasoning. I also felt the experience with the cabana rental could’ve been better. The menu is limited and your waitress is also assisting others so it doesn’t feel any different than sitting in the regular pool chairs. I would love to see them make that experience feel more elevated so people want to pay the extra to have the “cabanas”. A few of the staff stood out, Diamond, Baby A, James (LeBron), and the check in team were all amazing! The ladies that assisted at Noodles also were great! I absolutely loved the dancers by the pool during the pool party as well as the “Divas” performance. They also had a birthday cake set up in my room at arrival with an handwritten note! Overall, I had a great time and the staff is truly where this resort shines!

The W Punta Cana is a beautiful resort. Enjoyed our swim out room. Room was beautiful, clean and very large. For those interested in swim out rooms, it is not connected to the main pool and you cannot swim out to the swim up bar. We actually enjoyed a more private spot to ourselves. It was a great room to have as one of the main pools was closed for a private event for one day. Enjoyed room service as it is included in your all inclusive package. Restaurants are delicious! The rooftop restaurant is such a beautiful spot! Wish this spot was open more often and for more time of the day. It looks like a spot for a day time party/brunch. We did not partake in the sushi. We heard rumors people were getting sick, so we did not chance it. We did not get sick from any of the restaurants. The Noodle Bar was our favorite! Food is very delicious! They have great bar tender in there! She’s very attentive! The beach restaurant was nice, but you do pay extra for some dishes. Living room bar is hit and miss. The bartenders seem overwhelmed even with just a handful of guests. The coffee shop was a nice touch as it had snacks, quick grab and go bites and PLENTY of water. The speakeasy was more of a club experience. For a W and Marriott nametag, I expected more from the staff. They were nice, opportunities to be more attentive and more organized are certainly there. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely time. Would potentially go back, but I would explore other resorts first.

Overall, this is a great hotel. The staff is professional, attentive, and genuinely courteous. Architecturally, the property is stunning, and it’s kept spotless every single day. The spa is a must—skipping it would honestly feel like missing part of the experience. The food overall was good, though Scena wasn’t our favorite. That said, we tried all the restaurants, and that one just didn’t stand out to us—others might feel differently. If you’re looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting with top-tier amenities, this is definitely the place. The adults-only atmosphere is a big plus. In my opinion, it’s absolutely worth visiting. If you want a super detailed breakdown, this isn’t that—but if your goal is to relax, unwind, and enjoy a well-maintained, upscale hotel, just book it.

The property itself is beautiful, and the food was consistently good, and it is very easy to get a spot by the pool, which made for an enjoyable overall experience. That said, the service could be a bit inconsistent at times. There were several corporate events during our stay that limited access to certain restaurant spaces, and the rooftop was closed for private events on two out of five nights. We also encountered a few minor room issues, such as a leaking shower door and patio doors that didn’t seal properly. Additionally, the app frequently changed restaurant hours, which made planning meals somewhat challenging. Overall, I would rate the stay a 6.5 out of 10. With a few improvements to service consistency, communication, and room maintenance, this property has the potential to easily be an 8 out of 10 experience.
