Camp Du Nord - Modern, Private, Cozy Cabin Walking Distance from DT Grand Marais

Camp du Nord is a modern luxury vacation rental nestled in the forest in the charming Lake Superior coastal town of Grand Marias – voted “Best Small Town” two years running by Travel & Leisure Magazine.

Located less than a mile from downtown, Camp du Nord has all the amenities of home while feeling like you are “off the grid”. We host two bedrooms; one king bed in the loft along with a bunkbed that has one queen bed on the bottom and twin bunk on the top level. This is on the main level. There is also a fully stocked kitchen, a paved patio complete with grill and chimenea, a screened-in porch, plus a full-size washer/dryer for those longer stays or to conveniently clean up after an exhilarating day spent in the great outdoors.

The bathroom is spacious with plenty of storage for all your travel goods stocked with luxury towels/linens. Our intent is to make our guests relax, unwind, and feel completely at home while vacationing here.

Camp du Nord is one of very few, brand-new builds in Grand Marais with modern day appliances and amenities. We are also one of the only pet-friendly rentals as we have over 3 forested acres you can explore with your furry friends. We have a 2 dog maximum in place, thank you, and we do charge a pet fee of $75/dog.

The cabin is close to town but still far enough away to feel the quiet of the forest, hear the lap of the lake and see the brightest stars at night. Our rental can accommodate several guest situations whether it be families, friends, explorers and adventure seekers!

Owners/hosts live nearby and we will do our best to accommodate any needed requests that may occur during your stay.

The thoughtful design and modern Nordic furnishings will have you sitting by the fire, playing games, cooking together and Camp Du Nord can also accommodate a private workspace when needed at the desk space in the loft area. Complete with high-speed fiber optic broadband/internet!

Conveniently located less than a mile from downtown Grand Marais but nestled in the woods for ultimate tranquility, the cabin is new modern construction with a nod to the rustic cabins that this area is famous for. Located on a private road and surrounded by forest for a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, you are still within walking distance to all the shops and amenities that our beautiful small town has to offer. 

The living & dining areas and kitchen are designed with an open concept so everyone can be a part of the fun whether eating or playing a game at the dining table, enjoying the fireplace or spinning an album on the record player!

Love to cook? We've got you covered! The kitchen boasts plenty of storage for food items and is completely stocked with whatever you might need to make a delicious meal. There is also a grilling & seating area on the patio for those warmer months and a grate over the firepit if you want that full camping experience without having to pitch a tent.  Rainy or windy? No problem, we have you covered (literally) there, too! Our cozy and comfortable screened-in porch includes soft/dimmable lighting and a ceiling fan.  Thoughtfully decorated with modern nordic/scandinavian spirit, you'll find beautiful
artwork throughout the cabin...much of it created by local artists/artisan or purchased from local shops & vendors.
