About this house rental
NOTE: We have two other properties! One is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, within 1 mile of downtown. The Westside Getaway property is #2240069. The other is the Harbour View Getaway which is also a 3 bedrooms 2 bath property #3379024.
Our Grand Marais Getaway has been a vacation rental for 10 years, and is licensed with the State of Minnesota. It is a bright and spacious home just one block from beautiful Lake Superiorand downtown, in the "coolest small town in America", Grand Marais, MN.
The house sleeps 6-8 people in its three bedroom (2 queens, 1 double, and a couch with pull out bed that is another queen bed. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 with a tub/shower, and the other has a shower stall.
We provide Wifi, and Hulu television. There is also a ping pong table in the lower room, which is 4 steps down from the main level. The lower room also has a couch with pull out bed, as well as a bathroom and reading nook. Enjoy a book from our library in our handcrafted twig chairs!
In the warmer months, spend some time in the small studio building nestled in the backyard. It is a great spot for yoga!
The Grand Marais Getaway is within walking distance to all of the downtown. There are many quaint shops, some spectacular restaurants, 2 local breweries, The North House Folk School, and the Grand Marais Art Colony.
For the more adventurous, there the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Lutsen Mountains, and tons of great hiking and mountain biking.

We stayed with two families, five children between 5 and 10. They had a great time making forts to sleep in in the big room together. The parents enjoyed having their own space. We loved having s'mores at the fire pit and being able to walk to everything in town!

This is the perfect place to stay for a family of four with a dog. It is a cozy beautiful cabin that has everything we could need. We walked everywhere in town. There is so much to do in town, but on a rainy day there is plenty of entertainment right in the cabin. We love staying here!

What a lovely house. It had everything we needed and more for an extended weekend. Communication with Nancy was easy. The house was clean. All instructions were clear and easy (getting in, cleanup, et cetera). The house was very comfortable. Windows could be opened for a cool nighttime breeze. The living room was cozy. And the bathrooms were clean and stocked. The ping pong table and games provided family entertainment. The welcoming bottle of wine was on point after a day of driving :)

Excellent location with an easy walk into town. Cozy cabin-feel with a lot of activities and ample cooking/dining-in supplies. Very clean and super comfortable beds. We will stay here again next time we visit.
