Villa Son Siurana by Interhome

The Villa has a great range of features, especially the pond which contains plenty of healthy looking fish and other wildlife. We all enjoyed sitting listening to the frogs and toads which liked to sing often. The exterior of the property is absolutely stunning, the garden is very well maintained, and there are various locations to relax in the sun. Throughout the interior of the property the hosts have placed traditional ornaments & artwork which were appreciated by the group. The enormous table is definitely a focal point, we all used it as a staging area for our daily travels. Fantastic location, Ariany is a beautiful town which is a 10 minute walk from the villa, but a car is strongly recommended, as there are a vast array of towns to visit that are approx 30-40 minute drive in any direction. Very private and secluded with only 1 other Villa directly across the road, and the surrounding area is generally farmland. We witnessed all the sights and smells usually found in the country and loved watching the various birds that inhabit the garden and nearby fields.

The property is dated, we found various dishes and other kitchen items damaged or left uncleaned, overall the kitchen required a thorough scrub to ensure if could be used safely. Some appliances which should have been discarded were left in the property, were reported, and replaced within the first few days of our stay. Some of the fixtures like kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets have holes within where mice have chewed through. We occasionally found evidence of their passage throughout the property. Please be aware that the vast majority of the property is tiled and can present a slipping hazard if wet, my wife painfully discovered this fact after exiting the jacuzzi and slipping once stepping off of the rougher stone onto the tiles. There are also various loose tiles in the pool and the jacuzzi which were frequently being dislodged. The pool was good the first week but quickly developed algae in the second week turning the water very green, it appeared to us that the pool filtration system was not functioning correctly. I cleaned the pool with the tools that were present so that the group could use it, I advised the hosts whom added cleaning tablets to the water and then deployed an underwater vacuum towards the end of the second week. The wifi does not reach the rear of the property, both TVs in the larger rooms to the rear do not work.

Die Lage ist sehr ruhig gelegen, viel Platz zum entspannen. Um an die Küstenstrände zu gelangen wird ein Auto benötigt, das lädt zu einem Tagesausflug ein. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es ausreichend in Manacor.

Die Küche könnte mal überholt werden, Abflüsse gereinigt werden. Für 6 Personen fehlt ein zweiter Sonnenschirm draussen, um im Schatten frühstücken zu können.
