Freezing cold outside, warm and cozy inside!
It was FREEZING the day we checked in. The staff were eager to go above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Outdoor temps were below zero so water lines all over town were frozen -- they thawed the main water line and fully stocked us with dry firewood and several space heaters to ensure we were comfortable. And we were.

Great accommodations
I had a last minute booking and they were very accommodating. It was an easy check in and check out. They responded immediately on any questions I had. A very very nice accomadation for the cost. Will stay here again when in town.
It was alittle cold, but it was winter. So nothing to do with accommodation.

We really enjoyed the cabin, breakfast pizza was good too and every where we went this cabin seemed to be in the middle.
Quiet and it was right in between everything!!!
The cabin does not have the name on the outside and it’s not convenient to try and find and check in. Even the mail lady didn’t know exactly where it was!! So I took pictures where you check in across the street! And the outside cabin! White stag!

The inside looked like the pics online but so many things were poorly maintained it was embarrassing to have our friend over to visit.
I have never given such a poor review before and I'm not being mean...just honest. The first red flag was the outside was never shown online. I'm usually smarter than this and should have known not a good sign. I literally wanted to cry when my husband looked up an aerial view before we went. I planned a special retirement getaway for my husband and also was going to meet our sons girlfriend for the first time. There was no option for refunds and I spent my weekend apologizing for the condition of this stay. The outside looks like a inner city abandoned nightmare. Window air conditioners could not begin to keep up. The faucet on bathroom vanity literally slides all over as well as the shower tub spout was not attached and slid around. No vent in bathroom so steamed up so bad you had to race through your shower etc. They never came back and brought more towels for a 3 night stay. The whole place smelled like a cooped up smoker had lived there and didn't air out the entire time we were there. Signs on refrigerator saying not to put fish entrails in there so who would really want to put all their drinks and snacks in there... Ugh! I wore socks the whole time because I didn't want my feet on the flooring. And I just have to repeat that the outside was so dilapidated. They had a White Stag sign on the outside with a picture of a beautiful cabin like you would see maybe in TN. Why would you do that. This is a run down white house, not a cabin at all with a garage next to it that looks worse then the house. I'm sorry if hurting owners feelings but many if they things are basic issues that could be taken care of. I will say the inside has potential but needs lots of work just like the outside. My husband had to put a chair under the back door knob at bedtime because it looked so not safe. I appreciated the Bible on the mantle but as a visitor the owners need to strive for the best for their customers.
