New Forest Cottage

The proximity to Lyndhurst and the New Forest is perfect, easy walking distance to Lyndhurst village and Boltons Bench. The house is spacious and easily accommodated the 9 of us. Plenty if toilet rolls, washing up liquid and dish washer tablets.

In Two out of three toilets the doors did not lock, sharper kitchen knives or a knife sharpener would be useful, more hanging space and mirrors in bedrooms and it could have been cleaner (skirting boards etc). But I’m being very picky and it wouldn’t stop us from booking the property again.

The property is in a good lactation for us for the show we are running, on street parking is OK, it has the 5 bedrooms we need, 2 bathrooms even though the water was never hot in the showers, A garden to sit in, in the evening, nice lounge and dining room, good wi fi reception very near to the village , for pubs and cafes,

The price had risen by £1000.00 since last year, I think since our stay last year the cleaners have changes, as it did not have the sparkle that greeted us last year the kitchen did not look like it had been cleaned as there was grit on the floor,, some of the china could do with changing and more kitchen knives and sharper, a lot of wine glasses missing since last year and the dish washer did not wash clean even after 3 washes, There were no toilets roils in any bathroom or cleaning products for the sinks baths or toilets. no hand towels or paper towels in the the toilets and no hand towels in the bedrooms , last year there were laundry bag to put the dirty bedding not this year, It would be a nice touch if there was a hamper of the necessity's ,EG Tea Coffee Milk and maybe some fruit and cereals to greet us,

The cottage is a great size and the location was perfect, a lovely 10 minute stroll into Lyndhurst

Location was excellent for our needs. Property was spacious and family friendly.

Property needs a really thorough clean. Some kitchen bowls, plates and cups need replacing as they looked glazed and tarnished. Sink bowl needs replacing as does some of the cooking implements. Really didn't appreciate having to clear previous holiday makers rubbish from bins. In our opinion stripping the beds at the end of our stay shouldn't be our responsibility. Garden could do with tidying up.
