RoomQuest THEVA Resort Residence Koh Samui

The staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming. The view was amazing. Breakfast was very good. The pool and gym was nice. The room was very comfortable. The location allowed our stay to be very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel was somewhat remote and as the road to the hotel is very steep moving from the hotel to the beach required some motorised vehicle (The hotel allowed for motorcycle bookings and you could order a taxi from reception (300 baht one-way) so it didn't feel like we were stranded).

The property was absolutely wonderful. The location was beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, with a truly relaxing atmosphere. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and felt very well taken care of.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. Everything was excellent and exceeded our expectations.

The location was completely no where near anything and getting taxis became expensive and really hard as no driver wanted to come and get you

The villa was nice from inside and the bed was good. It was also nice that ergonomic pillows was offered. The airconditioning worked well and was rather quiet. The resort is located on a hill with green and lush environment. The staff was also helpful in organising transportations as Grab often could not be used.

When arriving, I got the feeling that the hotel had not prepared for my stay. If seemed that they started cleaning the room only when I tried to check in around 14.00. I was also rather surprised about the low quality of food in the restaurant as usually even mediocre food in Thailand is pretty good. I tried the restaurant twice but decided to eat elsewhere after that. I had booked a room with sea view but mainly saw the roof of another building. I could see the sea from a corner of the terrace. Perhaps it would be better to make another category of rooms to Booking.com (partial sea view). As the hotel is in a very remote location, I would have expected even a small selection of snacks etc offered. There’s 2 small water bottles in the room every day but if one has a need for more, there are just some small extra bottels available in the restaurant. I was a bit dissapointed by the lack of outdoor place to relax and spend time in. My room was facing north so there was no sun in the terrace during the day. Hence it was surprising that the ”tub” on the terrace only had cold water. The jets didn’t seem to work either. The terrace also has just 2 chairs but nothing to actually relax/spend time. Even though the large windows were nice, they were quite dirty. There is one lounge chair on the pool area, but the loud pool motor is next to it. Another is located next to the small pool but it had no cushion and the small pool looked dirty. Most of the staff also speak rather poor English. In general, the hotel has potential, but right now it feels like a place to sleep one night but not really for longer stays. Also good to note that the SUV option needs to be selected in Grab. Otherwise they usually won’t drive to the hills.
