Khwan Beach Resort - Luxury Glamping and Pool Villas Samui - Adults Only - SHA Extra Plus

The property was perfect for us, quiet and authentic. Loved the private splash pool room. Hotel room was kept nice and clean. Food was great . Nice and close to the beach and the moonhut restaurant which was perfect for sipping a fresh coconut with Malibu and taking in the amazing scenery.

It was our first visit to Koh Samui, which was stunning. Only comment is we prefer the quieter south of the island for our next stay . The road near the property is very busy, although to be fair you don’t hear the traffic much.

Fantastic small hotel with the most amazing rooms and great staff.

Very nice and calm atmosphere. The bed is surrounded by mosquito nets that was making easier sleeping. The open air toilet was very nice and different from usual.

Lots of mosquitoes even if the hotel provided support with spray and other things. Although we didn’t have any problem, the snake skin outside the door of our room was a little uncomfortable finding but understandable for the nature of the place.

The idea is much more appealing than the reality. I guess the room cleaning was good and the design of the rooms is nice, it’s just that everything feels unloved and not well maintained.

Left a lot to be desired. We paid an exorbitant amount considering what we got. The idea is great but the execution not so much. Basically all the other reviews were right and I wish we’d read them beforehand. Our tent had a huge external tear big enough for an adult to enter/exit freely which isn’t great for security (or mosquitos) especially considering there was a theft the day we checked in Everything felt a bit old and worn, dead mosquitos everywhere, weak AC. The sauna and hamam advertised on the website simply don’t exist. We tried to checkout early and ask for a refund but booking.com didn’t respond in time and the hotel categorically refused to take any accountability. I guess it would all be fine if you were paying for a campsite which was advertised as such but not for this. For our last two nights we ended up paying, no exaggeration, half the price for a beautiful five start hotel (mantra) elsewhere, which is crazy really.
