It’s nice and quiet

Too far from town, it’s a very long walk from town and from the ferry’s

Logement au top, très agréable pour y séjourner plusieurs jours. Gus a été un hôte formidable, très à l’écoute et de très bons conseils. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement pour un séjour !

The grounds are kept nice, sand raked, gardens lush. The area is quiet, only a couple blocks from the beach and a short walk into town but the nearby restaurants and shops had a good vibe. The room is good… large comfortable bed with mosquito net, fridge with super fast freezer, coffee machine that doubles as a kettle, great air con. A bonus was the waterproof satchel, it was very handy and appreciated for trips to the beach. Our host was great, super friendly, always around to help and made the stay that bit more special. He arranged taxis, recommended tours and restaurants, gave me a yoga mat and general advice about where to go and when.

The pool is hard to keep clean but that’s just living with nature. The showers water pressure is fine for normal washing but a bit difficult with lots of long hair to rinse. A second chair outside would be good to sit together. Also needed a knife for cutting fruit, but host is so lovely that if we had asked, one surely would have appeared.

Gus fue muy amable y cercano en la llegada y nos dio buenos consejos sobre donde ir, comprar, cenar. La zona de la alberca es muy agradable pero lamentablemente no se puede disfrutar por la cantidad de mosquitos que hay.

Se encuentra bastante retirado del centro y los caminos para llegar estaban completamente embarrados e intransitables a pie y eso que hacía días que no llovía por lo que tienes que depender de un taxi para ir y venir del centro. Además al estar tan retirado hay mucha vegetación lo que hace que los mosquitos te coman vivo. La cabaña estaba decorada en estilo colonial añejo podríamos decir, vamos que el adelantado Montejo la hubiera ordenado amueblar de una manera similar a su llegada en el siglo XVI. Ducharse es un ejercicio de equilibrismo intentando atinar donde cae el mínimo chorrito de agua que cae, que por supuesto, no es de agua caliente.
