The owner and host of the house met up with us and handed the key to us, we sent message to him about our eta so he was waiting for us 👍🏼👍🏼
Also as we were driving, he gave us permission to park at his personal parking spot near the Takayama old street. Really appreciate his help 👍🏼😉

The host was incredible - and while she doesnt speak english she went far and beyond with her friendliness.
The house is absolutely beautiful and its only 15-20 min walk from the train station, and about 30 min away from downtown, BUT its in such a beautiful area and the walks are just amazing.
convenience shop is 10 min away, and theres a starbucks, a shopping center, and a few restaurants within a 10min walk.
Honestly, our stay in Takayama was one of the highlights of our trip in Japan because of this place.
We really loved everything.
