ExCel, O2, London City Airport waterfront double room in Royal Docks Silverworks Island,The Cause

ExCelでのイベントに歩いていけます。今回は学会だったので毎日助かりました。駅も近くて、スーパーもあって楽しい5日間でした。

施設がよくわかったわけではないのです。帰りがヒースロー朝9時ごろ出る便だったのですが、朝は空港まで早達のエリザベスラインがないので、パディントン駅までUberです。

Odeta and her daughter were great.

It was all great, perhaps just provide some "local info" - i.e. where the tube and bus can be caught from, local shops etc - it wasn't difficult at all but may help people visiting from overseas

Fabulous location. Very comfortable with everything you could possibly want. The host Odeta was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again when visiting London.

It was a fairly convenient location for Excel - you do have to walk over the bridge which has eight flights of stairs each way - but is just the other side of the water so fairly convenient. I liked the fact that you had access to a garden. Little touches like the packs of toothbrushes and toothpaste were nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom nice. Everything was clean. The host was a really nice lady.

Nowhere was it made clear that this is actually the ground floor of someone's house to which they have access and it was not a private apartment. It is a three story house and you enter on the ground floor where there is a garage door, a bedroom, a bathroom, a laundry room and access to the garden. This is what they are renting out. The "kitchenette" is actually their laundry room with a microwave and a coffee machine and a couple of plates on a high shelf. The host is very nice and got us bowls but there was no kettle. This is definitely not a kitchenette. There is a separate very small fridge under the stairs. Obviously when renting out their ground floor they live in the two floors above but still have to access using the front door and no part of what you are renting out is closed off. There was a lock on the bedroom door and bathroom but the hall they come off of can be accessed and seen at any time by opening the front door or coming down the stairs. I actually had no idea that this was the set up, would not have rented had I have known and even now looking back, I cannot see where this is clear. Be advised that the booking says there is a kettle but there isn't. We had to make a cup of tea by heating up water in the microwave. It also says fireplace but this is in fact a fire on the wall in the bedroom. If you want to rent a room a small but comfortable and clean room in someone's house with a nice bathroom - but I think a kitchenette is a stretch, then this is great. I wouldn't book again as this is not really what I want. I'd much rather pay a bit more and go to a hotel. However the price was good and if this arrangement suits you, then this is the place.
