Sailors Cottage

Fabulous location, very clean and pretty much had everything we needed during our stay! I'd say the property was quirky.

Parking was an absolute nightmare but that's no reflection on the property itself. Lots of stairs and low ceilings but after 3 head bashes I learnt! A slow cooker would be a good addition.

We had a wonderful five night stay at Sailors Cottage. Amber puts her heart and soul into the accommodation, and it was a home from home. The beds were comfy, we had everything we needed for cooking meals and also a great Chinese take away and fish and chip shops on the doorstep! Fantastic location for shops, pubs and sight-seeing. The views of the harbour from the cottage are amazing. Whitby Abbey is a short walk away, as is the beach and plenty of boat trips. We loved the atmosphere of the area - very friendly locals! Thank you so much for a lovely holiday and for the welcome hamper- we’d love to stay again! 😊

We stayed at the Sailors Cottage for 3 nights, it felt like a home from home and we'll definitely be back again! All of the information from Amber was super clear, the property was clean and the welcome package we received was incredible - I've never experienced anything like that! I loved looking out at the harbour views from the dining table, sofa and bed 😍

The parking was an issue. Although Church Street car park is opposite the property, it's only small and extremely busy. We were lucky to get in the first time, but when we drove out one day, I had to wait for an hour to get another space. We were there during summer holidays and regatta though and I'm quite patient so I didn't mind, but some might. My husband and I found the bed quite uncomfortable - a mattress topper would fix this easily though!

Location was very good. Kitchen had everything needed to make a family dinner. Shower good and towels good.

No dressing table or mirror in master bedroom to sit and dry hair, put make-up on etc, No access to yard or outside space. That was problematic to both of us as we both smoke
