Aloha! If you're looking for an authentic Hawaiian experience, stunning beaches, local eateries, and a peaceful atmosphere far from the Waikiki hustle and bustle, you've found it!
This one-bedroom, one-bath condo at Hawaiian Princess in Makaha, on Oahu’s beautiful Leeward Coast, offers breathtaking views of the beach, ocean, and sunsets right from your lanai.
The condo includes free parking, free Wi-Fi, and access to the building’s amenities, including a pool, hot tub, tennis, pickleball, BBQ, and ping pong table. Inside, you'll find a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, air fryer, Instant Pot, blender, and more. We also provide linens, beach towels, chairs, mats, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, a beach umbrella, a cooler, and even binoculars for whale watching in season. The condo also has two TVs, ceiling fans, stand fans, and a washer/dryer for your convenience.
The building has a roof-mounted, water-cooled central Air Conditioning system. Please note, however, that it does not function like mainland AC systems and will not make the condo super cold. Most guests find the condo very comfortable with open windows, natural cross-ventilation, trade winds, ceiling fans, and stand fans, which keep the space fresh with tropical breezes. If you prefer super cool indoor temperatures, this may not be the condo for you.
The Princess Building is a smoke-free, pet-free property, and we have an on-duty security guard 24/7 for peace of mind.
Note that Waikiki and Honolulu are about an hour’s drive away and you may see homeless camps along the route. However, the Hawaiian Princess is a secure, gated building, and we encourage you to read reviews from others to make your own decision about staying on this side of the island.
For local dining, be sure to try Beachhouse 604, a guest favorite with oceanfront seating, and Spicy House in Maili, known for its excellent Thai food. Fine dining is just a short drive away in Ko'Olina and at Disney’s Aulani Resort. You’ll also find shopping and a water park in nearby Kapolei. Surf enthusiasts will love Makaha Surfing Beach, home to international competitions, just down the coast.
This is the ideal destination for those seeking a relaxing, laid-back vacation in a stunning setting, with the opportunity to witness marine life in its natural habitat, including turtles, dolphins, and whales (in season), while creating beautiful memories along the way!

What we enjoyed most of this rental was the amazing sunsets over the water each evening from our lanai and the moon shining on the ocean. You will have your own private, uncrowded beach which was wonderful! The host provided beach chairs , umbrella, snorkeling gear and boogie boards. The host is wonderful, communicated well. The rental was clean and well equipped as we cooked some meals there.. We slept comfortably. The location is not close to a lot of attractions that we wanted to visit ( our first time in Oahu)and so we found ourselves traveling an hour or so each way. As you drive along the highway to and from the rental you will see homeless encampments along the beaches but thats about it. It is located in a local community but is gated and has security . I never felt unsafe while staying there.

We had an amazing stay in Makaha and truly enjoyed every part of this condo. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to feel at home right away. The in-suite laundry was a huge bonus, and we really appreciated all the extra beach gear like the chairs, cooler, boogie boards, and binoculars, which made our days at the beach so much easier and more enjoyable.The location was beautiful, with incredible ocean views and a much quieter side of Oahu that felt relaxing after busy days exploring. One of the biggest highlights of our entire trip was watching a sea turtle come right up onto the beach and rest about 30 feet from our umbrella. It was an unforgettable experience and something we will always remember.The hosts were thoughtful and well organized, with clear instructions that made check-in and the whole stay simple. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful Hawaiian getaway and would happily stay here again. Mahalo for helping make our vacation so memorable.

The property was nice enough. The beach was the best part. But the neighborhood wasHorrible. Homeless camps everywhere and homeless people roaming around. It was dirty and uncomfortable. The condoWas on a high floor so the AC was constantly running but it never cooled down even with fans going 24/7. Kind of felt scammed
