Mice period Cottage within walking distance of Durdle door. Coupe of local pubs had lovely food and drink. Book ahead as were very busy. Nice walks nearby. Local Londis had all the essentials.

All the doors were about 5'8 in height which was a pain in the neck(litterily). On the main road in to the village which had a steady flow of coaches that seemed to stop outside our open windows when traffic built up. Busy in peak times.

It was very comfortable and cosy. Everything was lovely. In the perfect location just a walk from the beach.

The house is lovely, it’s very quaint and full of character. The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality pans, etc., and there’s plenty of space to dine. The bedding is also good quality which meant we had a decent night’s sleep each night. The living room is super cosy and although you can’t get terrestrial tv because the house is in a valley, all the apps are available to be able to stream programmes. There’s a nice little pub and convenience store within a short walking distance and the property is in a great position to be able to get to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle.

It would have been good to have had a welcome pack with at least the provision of tea/coffee/milk to be able to make a cuppa on arrival. We were only a couple with 2 dogs but with a 4 bed house a larger family would struggle with one shower, although there was also a bath in another room. I didn’t love having to go downstairs in the night to use the toilet as the stairs are very steep with no handrail on one side! The soles of our feet were black after the first night walking round on the stone floors so they could do with a deep clean. There’s only one parking space, which was ok for us but maybe not for a larger group. And nothing to do with the property per se, but the car parking at Lulworth Cove is very expensive £12.40 for 4 hours, or £20 per day. The bonus is that if you don’t ‘check out’ your parking you can visit Durdle Door and the Castle on the same day and just check out when you leave your final destination.
