All in all a very pleasurable stay in a picturesque cottage

The house is lovely, it’s very quaint and full of character. The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality pans, etc., and there’s plenty of space to dine. The bedding is also good quality which meant we had a decent night’s sleep each night. The living room is super cosy and although you can’t get terrestrial tv because the house is in a valley, all the apps are available to be able to stream programmes. There’s a nice little pub and convenience store within a short walking distance and the property is in a great position to be able to get to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle.

It would have been good to have had a welcome pack with at least the provision of tea/coffee/milk to be able to make a cuppa on arrival. We were only a couple with 2 dogs but with a 4 bed house a larger family would struggle with one shower, although there was also a bath in another room. I didn’t love having to go downstairs in the night to use the toilet as the stairs are very steep with no handrail on one side! The soles of our feet were black after the first night walking round on the stone floors so they could do with a deep clean. There’s only one parking space, which was ok for us but maybe not for a larger group. And nothing to do with the property per se, but the car parking at Lulworth Cove is very expensive £12.40 for 4 hours, or £20 per day. The bonus is that if you don’t ‘check out’ your parking you can visit Durdle Door and the Castle on the same day and just check out when you leave your final destination.

Great little cottage, perfect base for exploring the Jurassic Coast

Great little cottage, very quirky! Lovely comfy beds and felt very homely. The location really is perfect.. lots of walks nearby, local pub is great, and the coastline is beautiful here.

My partner must’ve banged his head on the doorway 20 times in the few days we stayed!
