Sparrow Villa Unawatuna

It was nice to be away from the touristy area of the beach in an authentic Sri Lankan neighbourhood. The hosts were caring and helpful. The owner owns a tuk tuk and it was appreciated that I was able to call and have him pick me up after dinner at a beach restaurant. There is also a small Thai restaurant only a few houses away from the property. He was also able to transport me on my onward travel. I did use the local buses, which are only a 5min walk from the property and go to the main Unuwatuna beaches and to Galle.

There is aircon in the bedroom but quite hot in the rest of the apartment - I stayed during a heatwave. With windows open and the fan in the lounge going it was manageable. Wifi was a little iffy at times. There is a street light outside the bedroom window but I hung a towel on the window bars and this made a huge difference. If you had an eye mask you would be absolutely fine!

location is perfect only 3mins by walk to mini market, and 7mins to the beach. It’s not on the main street, so there’s no noise. AC working perfectly, wifi is also pretty decent. The kitchen makes all the dofference with the fridge, so comfy if you stay longer. I liked the place, so I extended my stay for additional time.

all is good, for the price you pay this is a gem!

Freundliche Besitzerfamilie, die direkt unter dem Appartement wohnt und immer erreichbar ist, Ravi ist Tuk tuk Fahrer mit normalen Preise, was praktisch ist. Ruhiges Wohngebiet.

Der Kühlschrank ist alt und soll ausgetauscht werden.

Замечательные апартаменты на втором этаже. Есть балкон, кухня и сушилка для вещей, свой душ/тулет. Все чисто и ухожено. Полностью соответствует описанию. Удобное расположение. Пляж в 5-7 минутах пешком, отличная транспортная доступность быстро можно уехать на автобусе куда угодно. Находится в тихом месте. Хозяева очень отзывчивые и помогут в любом вопросе, не обманывают. Горячо рекомендую завтрак, очень щедрые порции, вкусно и недорого. Рекомендую!
